View Full Version : Shaking hands
To sabla nerdy docs & whoever is useful:
A couple of days ago, I handed a card to a colleague & he noticed that my hand was shaking; he's like why is your hand shaking?
Did not know why, but it was trembling real bad. What are the reasons for something like that to happen? Lack of what?
I get it from time to time, am alcohol & drugs free.
lack of food. that's whata my doctor told me when I described my trembling hands to him which happened to me sometimes.
You can also see alchoholics' hands tremble and shake ALL the time.
There's also a disease which Michael J. Fox has, Parkinsons disease I think. The body can't stay steady still in this disease.
And one fact for you, the human body is always moving in a way or another.

hand shaking = Tremor
there are many causes of tremor including essential, parkinsonian, psychogenic, rubral, cerebellar, dystonic, alcoholic
u don't wanna go in their details...
the one you got is called the physiological tremor which occur to normal people without underlying medical problem. This occur due to strong emotion (such as anxiety or fear), physical exhaustion, hypoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, heavy metal poisoning, stimulants (coffee or red bull,,), alcohol withdrawal or fever.
so in your case... it might be that u were hungry (leading to hypoglycemia) or u were behind those red bull marketing cars... i know they give free drinks

Not enough sleep! Go to bed!
Arch your back and stretch your torso like in the morning. Stretch all muscles to wake them up. Shaking means trapped energy. Maintain arched posture/shoulders back to stop it happening again.

Spirit, you look like a healthy young man
But there is no harm in getting some baseline tests done, like CBC to rule out anaemia & TFT to get your thyroid checked

Which anemia is inherited? 'anemia el khalaya el manjaliya'

i would say there is a wrong movement you do which presses on your nerves .. most people don't notice that .. do yourself a nice check up and see what's the reason ..

FluidNutria 02-03-08, 01:31 AM Some B-adrenoceptor blocking agents such as propanolol are used to prevent tremors, rifle shooters and snooker players use them (A) ask your doctor he might prescribe you some if your a severe case :p
