This weekend I went over into Alton, Illinois and had these pictures snapped. It was cold but a gorgeous day. The American Bald Eagle is my favorite bird and love to see them free in the wild. The river that you see is the Mississippi:

I remember Jeff. I love the bald eagle as our symbol. Very majestic and I never knew until recently that they fly here to Illinois for a period of time then they migrate for mating. The eagle is, for me, poetry in flight.

The camera was a friend's. I need to buy a nice digial one with a zoom lens however those are pricey. If I had posted the ones from my own camera you guys would have cringed in horror since these shots were taken at a distance. :D
