WHAT THE HELL??

Winds here in Welli reach 60 km/h daily and you guys are scared of 25 km/h winds :os Apprently 60 km/h is really good, last monday it was 130 km/h!!

Well I guess the city here was built to cater for the winds...but still I have to walk through it daily :angry:

This is because of global warming..a lot of strange weather changes :os

Haroun, the link you posted says nothing about strong winds. The current wind speed here in Muscat is 17 miles/h (about 27 km/h) (SOURCE (http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=2426)).

Unless you meant 250, which is not possible without a storm, something is wrong here.

Anyhow, I am not a MET expert, but your posts doesn't make much sense, neither does the link. Please elaborate.

OK, Heared in the Radio news that in the comming days from Iran's side there will be coming strong wind, and that is about it. I thought to warn people here. So according to HITMAN, so if it is going to cause that much panic, then I think it is better to state that this information is not that much reliable and lock the thread.

Besides, who knows, we might have some strong winds (extraordinary) soon and then people would compare you to the Indian who spread rumors about a natural disaster before Gonu ;)
