edit: warning theres one of a part naked girl (but you can only relly see her feet) (and its not real anyway)
Wow.
The best imo are the second cat, and the woman in the red dress.
I've already seen most of those on deviantart and well yeah..that's the power of adobe Illustrator, especially the mesh tool which was the tool used to create those. I use adobe illustrator as well but rather differently and with different tools.

It's hard to believe that these are non-real photos. I mean are they totally drawn/illustrated (whatever the computer terminology for it is) out of no where?! Or are they based on real photos, then computerized?! I don't know, it just seems so surreal..
They may not be photos, but are they generated or copied from real life models?
I can't tell from the website.
Halle Barry's one was a real photo, i think they are traced, maybe not all of em
yes they are traced, but the tracing is so accurate that it seems like the actual photo and not a traced and illustrated version of it, and that my friends is the magic of this style.
It's not about being traced or not..it's about how accurate the tracing is..and trust me..it's not easy to achieve such realistic results.

hmmmmmmmmm
truely amazing!
looks so real!
The life like graphic experience has been around for gamers for the last two years. Welcome to the rest of us.
so this is the technology they make video game characters from, but from illustrator can they make it a movable 3d model?
^no, it's very different cause the images you see above are vector art, while in games it's 3D modeling.

:omg:
Some of the pics in the link you posted gave it away but most of them were too good to be true!
That's amazing, I never imagined the creations on this Illustrator software would be so life-like.
I don't mean to be cynical, but isn't it possible for these pics to be the other way around. What I mean is maybe the real pic was provided first and then the vectoring or whatnot was computer generated?!
