Teejan Furniture's building in Khuwair had collapsed today morning.
Police, ambulances and rescue teams are present on the site until now.
No one has died, Alhamdulillah.
2 people were rescued.
Will update you soon.

yup that's right i have passed there at 13:20 and it was already down and there were police and rescue team at that time wish that everybody is safe....

now who is responsible for the collapsing ?

yeah seen it around 3 O' clock. we though they wanna rebuild it till we saw the ambulance!!.. so glad no one got hurt

I hope an they find out the reason for such an incident so it wont happen again.... oh if it was from a contractor then i hope this was their first and last building built in oman

i think i saw a truck in a side-ways position there, i thought that the truck hit the building!!!

or did the building collapse on the truck???

may god have mercy on the lost victims...

hmmm that building was old .....they should have some standerds to maintain old buildings.....thnx god it happend on a weekend....imagen the disaster if it happend on a working day....

According to the official reports, there were only 4 persons in the building, since it was a Friday (non-working day). Reports say that two of the workers were able to leave the building before it totally collapsed but they had serious injuries. The other two unfortunately were not able to escape and they immediately passed away.

After the Hurricane , such buildings should be checked for how bad damages has gone!

Like Al Airaimi complex... it was damaged and till today they cannot afford restoring it because of the damages!

two days of high water level pressure must have damaged the infra structure of the old building , it is just a matter of time and circumstances
