The following drawings are dedicated to all members who like the red and black color combination (you know who you are :p) Sorry about it being photos again, I will be getting my hands on my scanner in two weeks inshallah :cute:

Critiques are very much welcomed :)

Just a little note about the first drawing: The shape is a carving called Kumara and is done by the NZ Maori people on bones, wood or jade stones. The entwined shape represents both friendship and growth. I just added my own little pizzazz to it :)

Truly OUTSTANDING! I loved'em all...

No.1 (I have a key ring with that NZ design, love it!).
No.2 is so artistic
The last one is quite complex, probably took the most effort!

Interesting, but it's well worth it... very beautiful!

Do you publish your work somewhere? I think particularly Kiwi ppl would appreciate them so much, your work is so Maori-like, maybe you were inspired by them in the first place? :)

No lol it's not published anywhere, it's kind of a talent that I haven't turtured much :p Haven't had much practice but I recently decided I should, so am still kinda experimenting. It's just a hobby :cute:

I was actually inspired in the first place by henna patterns :) but yeah, I also love the maori patterns, carvings and tattoos. The curls totally rock :D

impressive...do you construct a grid system before drawing such pieces or do you just eye ball them?

That's really nice =D! I really think you should get into the habit of constructing grid systems and studying symmetry. You seem to have a natural talent for it =).
