View Full Version : Inking 1
Pen_it_Black 01-02-08, 05:19 PM The following drawings are dedicated to all members who like the red and black color combination (you know who you are :p) Sorry about it being photos again, I will be getting my hands on my scanner in two weeks inshallah :cute:
Critiques are very much welcomed :)
Just a little note about the first drawing: The shape is a carving called Kumara and is done by the NZ Maori people on bones, wood or jade stones. The entwined shape represents both friendship and growth. I just added my own little pizzazz to it :)

Interesting, but it's well worth it... very beautiful!
Do you publish your work somewhere? I think particularly Kiwi ppl would appreciate them so much, your work is so Maori-like, maybe you were inspired by them in the first place? :)

That's really nice =D! I really think you should get into the habit of constructing grid systems and studying symmetry. You seem to have a natural talent for it =).
Pen_it_Black 03-02-08, 04:30 AM ^ Thanks for the tips!
I shall definetly look into it! I never thought of using grid systems while drawing :cute:
