i didnt know where to post this thread,,, so i decided to post it here...

me and my friends are going to Jabal Shams for the weekend...

Does anyone of you knw the directions of Jabal Shams?

im not sure but as i remember:

- u go to nizwa

- head to al 7amra

- before al7amra there's a turn on the right..

then i dont remember, but u will find directions later...

i will get back when i get more info...

Go to Al-Hamra.

Leave Nizwa towards Bahla-Ibri road

-On the way you will drive uphill between two very close mountains and then you will drive again downhill. Then go all the way until you get to a roundabout by Al-Maha gas station (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=23.022029&lon=57.334245&z=17&l=0&m=a&v=2) , before you reach the roundabout, Al-Maha will be on your right and The Grand Mufti's house (in case you dont know it) will be on your left.

-Take a right at the roundabout, towards Al-Hamra

you will drive towards Al-Hamra for about 6 km, the Al-Hoota Cave turn (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=23.04843&lon=57.31267&z=17&l=0&m=a&v=2) will be after 3 km of the gas station but you will continue.

As the road ends, you will get to a roundabout, take a and you will see a white small mosque a little on your left, and you will see a small uncovered gas station, take a left and follow the road passing by the gas station, that road will go to Jabal Shams, there you will only need to follow the signs at the few intersections you will find.

There you need to ask, because I went long time ago and wikimapia is not showing it very clearly.
