The first one probably had some color filtering but the rest seem pretty standard to me.

The lighting can have an effect on the color of your eyes..so it's not necessarily photoshoped..bright light can give out a lighter shade of what your eye really looks like. I have pictures of my self where sometimes my eye looks black, and others where it looks hazel..while it actually is medium brown in reality.

I think her eyes are natural and there's only minor post processing concentrated on other detail besides the eye.

In studio photography, the use of strobes with softbox's/umbrellas produces stunning photos, detailed and soft skin colors, eye color and iris showing great amount of detail. Also, the use of natural light and shadows can produce great shots if both are studied properly before exposure..

The images above reminded me of Sharbat Gula's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharbat_Gula) shot on the cover of a 1985 National Geographic magazine issue, the photographer took the famous shot using a film camera, slide film and natural light, no lighting equipment or post processing of any kind (back in 1984 there was no Photoshop).

In 2002, a Nat-Geo team was able to locate the Afghan girl (Woman now), check the attached file.

I remember seeing a special on this Afghan girl and how National Geographic was able to track her down and used this specialized equipment on the iris of the woman they discovered and it matched...was so awesome!

Light coloured eyes are easily effected by the reflection of things around them and lighting conditions.


Especially if they are green or hazel..

My husband has a really beautiful eye colour.. Blue, with touches of green and speckles of light brown.

And the colour looks different depending on the light and what he wears. Sometimes they look grayish green.. sometimes blue.. sometimes green.. but mostly the colour combination from a distance, on a clear day, shows up as a dark turquoise.

Nice pictures up there.. the last one reminds me of a painting of a woman in the 1920's. And concidering the one in the photos is just a child, it's rather.. disturbing, or weird - for lack of a better word.

Yes, looks very fake. Checked out the website. They talk about bringing skin up to a peach hue...what if you are dark skinned.....I don't think my olive tone would nessarily be classifed as "peachy."

I have seen beautifule eyes like these before.... so yeah i think it is real.... yeah maybe some lighting and little effect but eventually there is never more perfect than god's creation :cute:

btw... I love the famous afghani girl's young portrait. it's full of...meaning... expression... she's alert...and somewhat a bit frightened.

Could be because she's an orphan, comes from a war torn country, married at a very young age, has 3 children and lost fourth infant, moved as a refugee to Pakistan.. etc...

i'm sure the eyes of that little girl are beautiful naturally, without any makeup, and colour enhancements. but i still think the last pic was p-shopped.

Personally I think they are photoshopped -edited-. I brought this up as I disagreed with my friend as she sent them to me.

i think to get such good shots of children (unless you have really quiet sedated ones lol...) you need some editing. it's acceptable.

i was never referring to the eye colour...i see eyes coloured like that at school daily . but for such a nice pic..i think some help from the godess of technology was done...

The first one seems to be unedited to me compared to the rest. However as someone has already mentioned, they seem photoshopped because her eyes have a different color/shade in each pic, but I guess that could be attributed to the effect of the lighting that NaBHaN has mentioned :)
