Speaking for myself, I become abnormally hyper since I don't take much caffeine, but when I do it does have an effect!

You become sleepy but you just can't sleep.
It refreshes me when I feel tired or sleepy but doesnt make me hyper...and I LOVE the smell of coffee it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and happy inside
The only effect it has on me now is that I get a headache when I don't drink anything with caffeine. I guess that's the side effect of being addicted to it.
I get my caffeine from coke.

my other question... is there anything one can drink or eat to neutralize the effect?... to counter it.

camomile lol....
i found south african redbush tea (rooiboos) to be very calming.
limit your coffee intake to a cup in the morning when you wake up and one mid day. when i have too much coffee it sends my heart racing....scary because the kind of coffees that i drink are quite heavy.

Well, I used to eat chocolate all the time, chocolate has that caffine.. it cause me nervousness..
If I could not eat chocolate at the same time, means that I'm going to hell.. ;)~
It keeps me also on an energy..
Actuly, I'm trying to stop buying chocolate.. =p
And so on.. =)~

Coffee makes me overly alert. Any tiny noise is magnified a million times, so you can imagine how nervous louder noises would make me feel. I hate the taste of coffee anyway, so I just have energy drinks when I need to pull an all-nighter, and keep coffee as a very last resort.
I think an increased consumption of caffeine also affects the kidneys in the long run. Something to do with the volume of urine and kidney stones.

I believe caffeine has no effect on me or no longer has any, lol. I'm addicted to Coke.
Just my bones are suffering, i guess.
I become super alert and I tend to rush things, lol
Coffee is sadly the main source big time a coffee addict =l

my uncle had a theory which i believe is true:
if ur really tired nothing can stop u from sleeping, even dozes of caffeine wont help...
as for ur other question TT, caffiene breaks the iron in ur body, and to counter that effect, just add lemon to the tea, and ur body iron is safe

The caffeine in Mountain Dew & Pepsi clicks my head, the coffee leaves this weird taste in my mouth.

Or add milk. It kills the caffeine. :p
That is why iron tablets for the anemic should never be taken in with any caffeinated drink. Instead, it should be taken in with water, or even better, orange juice.
I never knew that milk does that, lol. Thanks for the info.
