Some more of my drawings. I don't have a scanner at the moment so had to take a photo of them instead.

Critiques are very much welcomed :cute: I can see mistakes in each one of them lol...

They're all fantastic. You should get a scanner, scan them and open up an account in Deviantart, I think you'd be a hit over there because you have a unique and distinctive style.

Yes.. I've never seen anything like it..

You really should take Nabhan's advice. Your designs would make beautiful henna prints.

You're very steady with your hand, very symmetrical and you have an eye for detail. I love them all! Really well done!

Nice work, you should try using illustrator with a wacom tablet.

for pen it black:

bobbins are the small wooden sticks you can see on the picture below. they have cotton thread wound around them and are moved according to the pattern attached to the pillow. the lace worker designs the picture and sticks it on the pillow, then moves pins around and weaves the thread to make her design. the finished product is used in clothes, head scarves, fans, handkerchiefs, cushions, doilies and decorative items.

here are some 'results' of bobbin lace.

this is typical Maltese design..

something like this would take about a whole month to create.

and something like this would take about a whole year of working every single day...

I'm starting a Pen_it_Black's Artwork Fanclub! :D

I'm loving your work mashaAllah :)

The intricate little details amuse me and have me staring at these designs hehe!

How long does it take you to complete one of these drawings/designs on average from start to finish?

Pen_it_Black
21-01-08, 12:43 PM
Aww!! A fanclub? For lil ol' me? :shy:

Thanks Princey :p Hmmm it takes me about an hour to two hours to finish one...depending on the detail and when I finally feel the design isn't "naked" or missing something anymore
