1,500 traffic accidents were reported in Dubai between Tuesday morning and 12pm on Wednesday, said the traffic department.

More than 40,000 calls, varying from issues about car breakdowns to water logging, were made to the emergency number 999 during the same period.

The traffic accidents were due to speeding, low visibility and not leaving enough space between vehicles, according to the traffic department.

With the crazy drivers there, this is not very suprising...

1,500 traffic accidents! Thats a lot, though I'm not surprised. Since most Emirates are reckless drivers.

Well that's nothing if you compare it to the number of cars/motorists. With no offense at the rush hours, Dubai looks like a massive chicken farm if you know what I mean. Even though they have implememnted very advanced traffics controllers systems but if people do not have that mentality of being patient and have road behaviors and manners then the advanced system is a waste of money.

And that applies on every single nation, even we in Oman.
