the higher up i set the bar for my shots, the harder it is for me to upload pics, because the next shot's got to at least live up to the previous shot if i want to improve.. unfortunately it isn't always going to be the case, but one can try

Will completely disregard the second one because it's terrible.

The first one is well executed. Well thought of. Good balance of colors. Comments would be against the wrong placement of the active depth of field. Focusing on the middle rose would have given much more of a dramatic turnout (subjective, but i think there would be a majoritarian agreement on this one). Second is presentation.

P.S. Is this 4:3 format ?

I like the sharpness and clarity of the drop. But there's just too much red flowers in one pic for my liking :p I suppose a brighter setting would've been better.

I like the 1:1 crop the most.
