Honestly, this had me in splits.

Mr. Syed (self proclaimed direct descendent of Mohammed) Sowhardy who file a human rights complaint againt Ezra Levant for publishing the dreaded cartoons of doom last year has - and wait for it - also had some HRC complaints filed against HIM by some women in his mosque.

We were discriminated as women and were treated poorly, differently, negatively and adversely by the Directors and Officers of Al-Madinah Calgary Islamic Centre, Islam Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC), Muslim Against Terrorism (MAT), Al-Madinah Dar-Ul-Aloom Ltd and Al-Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly. In this meeting we were treated diferently from men in the following manner: (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc) ·Abusive language uttered towards us; (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)
·Not permitted to ask any questions; (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)
·Danied participation as equal members of the Muslim community; (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)
·Physically and verbally threatened; made to sit in the back of the hall; (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)
·Accused of disrupting and subotaging the proceedings; (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)
·Forced to vacate the pemises; (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)
Followed-up by obscene and threatening phone calls and letters in the mail. (http://ezralevant.com/CHRC_Complaint_2007-4.doc)

(read the full complaint below)

In addition, it appears Syed (self proclaimed direct descendant of the Mohammed) has been accused of financial impropriety, and some additional police complaints have been filed against him by muslims from his mosque, wherein he has apparently issued death threats and violence.

I'm loving it.

Talk about the chickens coming home to roost.

I fear that Mr. Sowhardy's world is soon going to come crashing down all around him and he might find himself back in the comfortable environs of the Pakistani madrassa from whence he came.

So now you support the HRC again right? :)

I hope you also note the apparent role of this man you deride in forming a group called "Muslims Against Terrorism".

Anyway, I don't know who he is, but I think you should try to meet him and hammer out your differences in reasoned debate. Or scissors, paper, stone.

Did I say that ?

Did you notice my signature ?

I'm just enjoying the delicious irony of the truly tragic situation Sowhardy finds himself in.

PS: Don't let the MAT fool you. Read some of Sowhardy's articles - apparently some Jewish Cabal was responsible for 9/11 - muslims could never have done that.

Right, so the HRC is a bastion of justice and decency when it's taking him on, and a crock of politically correct detritus when it hears complaints from him?

Anyway, yeah I get it. And if he really thinks that about 9/11, he's a very foolish Sayyid indeed. But I still think you guys should get together. I mean...why only tell us what you think?

Are you having a slow day ?

I think the HRC should be disbanded immediately or it should restrict itself to the function it was created for - discrimination in employment and housing.

That should be clear enough, what say ?

But I enjoy the irony of watching this scoundrel (hopefully) being hauled before the very same instrument he used to suppress free speech.

Off topic, but if these women are looking to be equals, they should find another religion.

the audacity of these women to think that they have the right to ask questions or participate like functioning human beings!

Off topic again: What do you tell a women with 2 black eyes?

.....nothing. you've already told her twice.

Mr. Syed (self proclaimed direct descendent of Mohammed)

how can he have the audacity to proclaim that and yet allow women to be treated as so in a mosque! What a freak on a leash!

Is that the best you can do?
Sad. :hyper:

I love the irony in this.. how he's gonna have to answer to the same commission that he's using against the freedom of speech.

*gets popcorn*

1 Timothy 2:11-12 (New International Version)
11A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.
Genesis 3:16
16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."
1 Corinthians 14:34
34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says.

THAT's why we make women wear blankets over their heads, just in case a woman with poor judgment goes on a files a report.

Hirsute Male,

I am glad you consider me a Prophet.

In that case it should be Wudjab (PBUH), please.

PS: Before anyone complains, this is a direct response to Hairlyman who has decided to provoke me

Well, I wonder if Muslims believe it is wrong to wish peace upon others besides prophets. I don't see why it should be....

In my thinking, we could say PBUH to all except God, the angels, and the saints.
