Muscat Municipality has opened recently the central corridor which links Ghubrah South with Al-Khuwair and Qurum 29. I was asking myself about the aim of first flyover after the sport complex traffic signals. Today, I got a drawing showing the central corridor plan (check the file attached). As you see that the first flyover will link Dohat Al-Adab street, southern expressway and central corridor. In addition, it will be connected to Al-Amirat/Bausher road.

It seems that Muscat Municipality is planning to change the route of Dohat Al-Adab street (especially the section between Lulu R/A upto the end of Tilal complex). It is going to be a straight road and will be connected to Al-Ghubarh street.
