The fire alarm went off three times today. The fire department did come in at the first time, but determined that it was a faulty fire. So could've been a gas leak or something.

Anyway, I took a picture of a small portion of the hundreds that were evacuated outside at the time. Nothing special.

I FOUND A DEAD LITTLE TINNY RAT IN FRONT OF OUR DOOR TODAY, just took it 10 min's ago (and I was wondering what that crazy cat was chasing after)

I still cant believe it, ...rats ??... in front of our door !! LOOL this is the first ..

Went for a bit of a walk today. I'm very proud of this one because it's a hand held shot, and no tripod was used, and everything looks sharp enough for me.

The weather is kind of nice actually right now. 12ºC.

It was sunset and dark, and this is a handheld shot at 1/6 (?). The edit it in colors made it look like it was earlier in the day, but it wasn't.

Those are two of the 'Three cities' ... Birgu and Isla (i think) .. They are three peninsulas that come out into a Harbour.. and those walls were built in the 16th century to protect the cities from corsairs and Mr. Sultan Suleiman. :hyper:

And they did.

There was a battle in 1565 between the Ottomans and us, the ottomans were in their tens of thousands.. us in a couple of thousand. We won, thanks to those walls. It's hard to imagine how we could beat the odds.. but we did.. the ottomans would bomb the walls with canons.. and the maltese people would be behind them, re-building them as they shook..

We call them bastons .. "Swar" in Maltese..
