When Iran was a threat?

Why is it a threat now?

And it looks like Bush can predict the future to assume Iran will be a threat.

Too much assuming.

They both say the same about each other, and they're both right: Because neither is capable of understanding or respecting the mentality, ambitions, fears and insecurities of the other. So instead they continue their phoney war. I still hope it doesn't become a real one.

Iran will be a thread to US as long as Israel exists, lets hope that doesn't last long ;)

True, the real threat is Israel and the existance of the US in the ME.

It's all about power and control.

One has it, the other wants it.

US has tensions with Iran only because of Israel. They can be the best of friends once Israel is neutralized :)

Sir Sting,

I really appreciate that you share your opinions on the matter.

The Iranian Govt has made threatening remarks to many nations in the world, including the US and Israel.

Do you think this is ok?

Do you think the US and Israel are just supposed to ignore it?

IceTea

On the other hand the US invaded and destroyed countries for no reason, Israel also killing Palestinians on daily basis.

What matters action and not just words.

Jihad4Truth
12-01-08, 09:41 PM
So the US and Israel are bad, violent and destructive.

So why is Iran provoking them?

Does the Iranian Govt want the evil Americans and Israelis to destroy them?

It does not make any sense.

What does Iran have to gain?

IceTea

Speaking the truth doesn't mean provoking.

Now it makes sense, right?

Chanting "Death to America" is provoking. Why does the Iranian Govt lead it's public to do that?

Iranians storming the US embassy in Tehran, kidnapping American embassy workers and holding them hostage is not only provoking, but it cuts off all diplomatic ties. Why did Iran do that?

Supporting terrorist groups like Hezbollah who attack civillians is provoking. Why do they do that?

Come on now ... Saddy is history. The muslims need someone to rally around. Someone that opposess the evil west/bush and the rest.

Iran and Mahmoud ahmadinejad is the only government entity at this time that fits that bill.

Good luck ... with your new super hero ... :hyper:

Why they say "Death to America"? there must be a reason.

When did Hezbollah attacked civillians?

What will you accept as evidence that Hezbollah attacked civilians?

If Muslims like Amo read the accounts in the news and then say they think it happened, you just say, "I don't believe it."

Sir J4T :p,

What about the threats made by Israel to Iran and its allies? What about the decades old American aggression against Iran?

Iran can either threaten and fight back or surrender. Isn't it their right to protect their freedom and dignity?

What happened with Iraq? Iraq was attacked by Israel, it did little to harm Israel back. Today, there is no Iraq!

Iran can either threaten and fight back or surrender.

Those are not the only two options.

Isn't it their right to protect their freedom and dignity?

Yes, they have a right to protect themselves. But that does not justify making death threats against other nations that are actually capable of attacking them. That does not make any sense.

And how exactly is their freedom and dignity being threatened?

like what ? don't say by peaceful negociations coz this is what destroyed Iraq and destroying palestine now.

As far as Iran goes.....when the jobless rate for young people is like 40%.....and they want to leave....what to do?

Get the young people focused on the tried but true " Hate USA" rallies.... and save the Palestians.....like the Iranians give a hoot about Arabs?

The best strategy is to get the masses to forget their dismal future and rally around the flag.....very poor leadership there for years.

Iran is supposedly a threat, because of the whole nuclear bomb stuff I guess :os This is all silly, seriously! What now Bush can predict the future? :bored:

What I find interesting is the commentry of BBC news on Bush's speech and the way they say that UAE'ans arn't siding and arn't agreeying with him, because of the business relationship between UAE and Iran, it's like Bush doesn't realize that what he is doing is disturbing others. Instead, they interprit it as they want to agree with him, but are scared 'coz of the supposedly "business relationship" Nonsense!

IceTea

Bush is shouting Iran is a threat but no one is listening. In the past he used to say also there are WMD in Iraq but nothing found later, so why the world should believe him now.

The US is provoking Iran, simply because they have interests to protect in the region and because they can. The fear that Cheney/Bush bred into the American public since 9/11 will follow them forever, and will lead to the next World War.

And forget about Democracy. They're not going to be impeached, and the next president to come (hope it's not Obama) is going to walk down the path that Cheney/Bush started because it's the safe way through presidency. The ones who think radical change has to become will be silenced further, as they are now.
