Pakistan won't allow the U.S. or any nation to conduct covert military operations in its tribal areas.
``There have never been any operations other than by our own security forces and there will never be any operations other than our own security forces,'' military spokesman Waheed Arshad said today in a telephone interview from Rawalpindi.

Alas, she is no more there who could allow.
This is call filthy politics.

I don't think Pakistan really has much choice in this matter.

It's a failed state on the brink of collapse and not really in a position to dictate terms anymore.

This has always been the case.

But it has also been the case that there are a few major exceptions. And that will continue to be the case, too.

If I were an Afghan, I would be outraged by this kind of attitude. "Keep your d*mned fighters on your OWN side of the border, then" is what I would think."

With Taliban fighters in Pakistani refuges attacking targets in Afghanistan regularly, there can hardly be much moral basis for criticizing anything that Afghan or US forces do there.
