View Full Version : Islam and the West: Who is the Terrorist?

The Americans as well as the Europeans, since long, have made themselves to believe that they are so civilized and protectors of human rights that it is simply impossible to commit any terrorist activities. Only ‘outsiders’ do it. It is clear which ‘outsiders’ they mean. This kind of thinking has taken such a complete control of them that when the news of the Oklahoma went around, the common American immediately suspected Muslims to be behind this act of terrorism. Why? Obviously because their leaders and media have made them into believing that no one else than those ‘born in the Middle East’, Arabs and Islamic fundamentalists, could commit such acts.

Human life is so precious according to Islam that "murdering an innocent person is just like the massacre of the whole of humanity" (Surah al-Ma’idah). A Muslim is the one who protects others’ life, property and honor through his deeds and speech (Sahih al-Bukhari). This applies equally to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Even if a polytheist (mushrik) asks for protection during Wartime, he has to be provided protection and led to his own place. (Surah al-Tauba). Killing of someone who is asking for peace and reconciliation, is forbidden. Setting a prisoner free is desirable. There is no room for beating him while tied up. Excesses against women, children, the old, the handicapped and the sick and burning of the crops and the factories is not allowed even during the times of war.

Per the Quran ... I'm guesssing this guy has never read the Quran.

The article has the following byline :

The Secretary General
Mansura, Multan Road, Lahore, Pakistan.

Need I say more ? I mean, we have a Pakistini teaching us about human rights and peace and non violence ! What next ? A suicide bomber opening an ice cream parlour ?

We know that there is terrorism by others, northern Irish, Sri Lankans, etc, Basques in Europe, etc.

It's just that terrorism by Muslims is a particularly serious problem today.

DP, let's be honest: When you heard the news from Oklahoma, who did you immediately think had done it? I remember an Iraqi friend of mine saying "oh S*** i bet it was some Arabs! Now what's it going to be like at the immigration desk in JFK?!"

When it happened, I think we all said to ourselves "hmm...most likely to want to blow up a federal building in the US and be able to do so...who springs to mind?"

OK, so Oklahoma proved that white Christian lunatics are living loud and proud in America (as anyone who has met many Americans will know!). But that doesn't mean we have an excuse to deny that the lunatics from among the Umma are still doing good business....

A Grandfather’s Suicide Bombing Puzzles Algerians

In 1990, the authorities denied Bechla a taxi license.
Bechla voted with millions of Algerians for the Islamist Party FIS, which campaigned on a platform of generous welfare programs.

But the army intervened to cancel the elections, and in the following years, Assia said, Bechla learned of the arrests and torture of several sympathizers of the Islamist party in 1995, and decided to go into hiding in the eastern scrublands where Islamist militants were active.

"He said that he was not strong enough to stand torture," Assia said.

I think Oklahoma proved something else too, mimosa.

It proved that we don't just get stuck with our first ideas.

We guessed at first it was Muslims. But we followed the EVIDENCE HONESTLY and very quickly we found the trail of the real culprits.

If we were the evil demons people sometimes say, we would have used it to point at Muslims and find an excuse to attack.

But we did nothing of the kind, of course.

Muslims attacking and blowing up Muslims.

This is where the evil of suicide bombings leads.

The dragon begins to devour himself.

Some people think it's great.

I think it's very sad.

^^ And

When the US does have a domestic terrorist they do at least attempt to bring them to justice ... which they did in the the OK case.

They don't allow them to go and pray while the police wait in the car (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article3064529.ece#cid=OTC-RSS&attr=2015164)!

The two officers waited in the car while Mr Rauf and his uncle, Mohammed Rafiq, entered the prayer room, but when they failed to emerge, the officers discovered that the men had escaped through the back door.

Investigators believe that the police escorts must have unlocked the suspect’s handcuffs to allow him to pray.

“Many Algerians can identify with this story,” said Mouloud Hamrouche, a former prime minister of the same age, who opposed the government’s decision in 1991 to cancel an election after it became clear that Islamists would win. “He is a real-life example of what has gone wrong over the years.”
