The 1st Chapter is Circus Maximus's debut album which was released back in 2005. I know it's not that new but certainly an album not be missed. Circus Maximus is a Progressive Metal Band from Norway.

The theme of the album is about The Journey to salvation which is most of what the lyrics are about. The lyrics of the song Glory Of The Empire refer directly to the movie Gladiator.
I always related Progressive Metal to Dream Theater, and since I tried but never could digest their music I never really liked this Metal sub-genre. Such remotely recent Progressive Metal bands are mostly inspired by Dream Theater, but personally I believe Circus Maximus surpassed them. They and a few others are the reason I become fond of this genre.
