Deja vu means 'already lived' anyway and when you get them you already know what's going to be said or done next, whatever the situation is, it's actually related to something that's happened in the past because you sense that what you just experienced (the sight) actually happened before therefore you know what's going to happen afterwards. Anyway I heard its due to memory disorder.

it's really complicated...
yah i heard that in ur first moments of birth, u see ur whole life infront of u, but i dont believe that...
however, some1 told me somthing interesting:
what if, ur mind tells u that u saw this think before, but he (the mind) is wrong, u didnt see that before??
i know ppl will say: "but u know what's gonna happen next", but that's not true, u THINK that u know, but u only know that exact second!
i believe this interpretation can be true, but in the end, im not sure
S0o0o does that mean i have a disorder?!?!
I hate you Cute_ing for making me search the whole internet and still not finding the stupid article :bored:
Deja Vu's are not all that mysterious anymore. The phenomenon is scientifically explained. When I heard that on TV I did some search online and understood everything. I don't remember everything literally, but I can give a general idea...
Apparently this is all to do with the tubes in your brain in relation with your eyes. To understand you need to keep in mind that what you see goes to the memory part of your brain and the part where you actually see it. Mostly everything is working fine, but sometimes the "video" goes to where you it's imaged in your mind slower than the one going to your memory, so you have it actually somewhat stored in your mind before seeing it all. And that's what's it all about.
Meh I feel smart... I need to watch a Paris Hilton interview or something.

Cute ting we all get Deja vu's, does that makes us allhaving a disorder??
snooky what u wrote made me feel stupid, need to go watch,, ummmm, dunno...
still didnt understand, does ur explination say that those events were already in ur brain before they happen?
I knew I would have some trouble here heh.
Simply put, Deja Vu is when your eyes gets the image milliseconds slower than your memory. Your brain is receiving before your eyes. That's why you think you've seen that girl in Starbucks before, and that's why sometimes you feel as if this Deja Vu crap is happening in slow motion.

^^^^ wow that's a really good explaination, but really wierd!
since the eye is the channel that transmits the image to the brain, and then to the memory, it's hard to believe that it might get the image later then the memory!
subhan allah, thanks for the explination snooky...

I don't know..
I think this explanation is just one of the many theories..
And this one in particular doesn’t explain it fully.. because with deja vu you sometimes also get the feeling that you heard someone say the exact same thing before.. if you say its to do with the eyes/vision (video part) what about the audio part (what you recall hearing)?
I'm always high and I got it perfectly I don't know why most of you are having difficulties. The ears obviously are go thru exactly what the eyes go thru with the memory storing process.

K, all sensory information then :p
but there's more than one type of deja vu
you explained deja vecu ("already experienced/lived through")
there's also 'deja visite' which means "already visited"
^ it's like when someone visits a place they've never been to before but they seem to already know their way around..
it's possible they've read about the place before or saw it on tv..
but how is this explained if they didn't?
^ The only way I experience that is when I see a hottie... so I can't help much on this one, or can I ? :6:
very intresting explaination snooky
its true..
sometimes.. i go to a totally different country.. and i see someone and i have a feeling that saw that person before and i have another feeling telling me YES I DID SAW THAT PERSON BEFORE.. and most probably.. i didnt!
another thing.. sometimes me and my family discuss something about a certain topic and from the topic it self I know or WE know that we never talked about this before.. but somehow i feel deep inside.. we did discuss this before and everyone said excatly what i remember.. (but of course i dont have that feeling untill we discussed the whole case :p) .. so its really weird ..
very nice explaination snooky ..
uh, well..i've heard a different kinda explanation :p
I'm not sure if it's "scientific" though, but it's says that we can foresee a little bit of the future sometimes, yes i know! superstitious Nella! xD
but I'm leaning more on this than the "scientific" one.
'cause it's more interesting.
calling it a disorder is just not fun! deja vus are amusing! l like it when i get a deja vu, it's a bit magical. we all want -or wanted somewhere along the way- to able to foresee the future, and i guess a deja vu is a little bit of a dream come true.
Well the Religous one i heard is that this may have happened in are other life since there 40 ppl that are just like us and we were maybe princesses and what not before
