I think it will be a good idea to have a poem competition about Cyclone Gonu to mourn Oman & Muscat in specfic?

Today we're living in complete darkness !
Everything converted from light to dark ...

Yesterday, 2ndcup was essential,
But today water is what we need !

Yesterday we never valued electricity,
AC is on without a soul in a room ..
TV's are on too, again without a soul in a room
Today electricity keeps coming on and off
No lights, AC's, or telephones ...

Living in such way is a complete chaos
But we are NOT survivors ..
Constant complaining and nagging from every corner.

Imagine the poeple whom live in such way all-the-time.

today on our way we thought about telling McDonalds to make a new meal thats "Gonu Burger" where they give the customer a box and its just all messy inside, its not like a burger, its like all mixed up stuff like stormed inside the burger box LOL

anyways, i support the poem idea and also suggest a DESIGN idea it is more thoughtful; a Design or a drawing about Guno... would be a good competition

Unexpected guests are sometimes unwanted guest too
We know your coming
But despise the thought of your arrival
They say that animals can sense things and birds fly far away from danger
Yet as I sit here on my balcony I hear crows and other birds
Why are they still here? Or are they packing to leave

The air filled with moist I feel you coming
Yet the lovely light breeze on my bare toes makes me wonder
Have you changed your pathway?
And although you won’t be coming to stay
I fear that you will leave behind memories that will last a life time
Imprinted not only on our land but on the faces of people who occupy this land
And in the hearts your presence will linger for long

PS: This is a trilogy (pre/during/port Gonu) that i was writing during the whole Gonu Craz... ppl thought i was crazy writing while ppl were panicing but it was my way of relaxing..... enjoy part one ...
