What is vasectomy?

Men,

Let's say you and your partner have had enough children and don't wish for more. Would you consider going for vasectomy?

Doctors, is vasectomy a better way of birth control than women taking pills everyday?

After you hit 40 you can't take the pill anymore.

I agree with vasectomy after we've reached the age where bearing a child comes with many risks. (35-40)

I don't think I'd like to risk having a child with Down's Syndrome. If it happens, then I happens. But getting pregnant at an older child bearing age is just waiting for it to happen.

Vasectomy is male sterilization & is identical to tubal ligation in females

Vasectomy can't be compared to contraceptive pills, since the latter is reversible & the former should be considered permanent

For those not willing to have kids for whatever reasons, Vasectomy is a good option since it's free of side effects & is a minor surgical intervention under local anesthesia
