Do you believe that we should listen to our hearts? Even though at times the mind may find it crazy or difficult to comprehend, yet the heart feels it so strongly? Are our hearts trying to tell us something, that may not seem clear?

Yes, listen.

Your mind can lead you astray and you have to check it against your heart.

But your heart can also lead you astray, and you have to check your heart with your mind.

Judging is not easy. But fortunately, you can act a little and then check what is happening.

Somehow, I think that the more deeply a person learns to pray, the easier it is to listen to God's guidance in our lives and to navigate the puzzle palace.

But reason and the heart must be like a man and wife, they must learn to love and respect each other and to walk together, guiding each other.

I think you should rely on both mind and heart, the mind alone will probably lead you to appear as a cold and heartless person, and the heart alone will probably lead you to appear as too emotional and too naive...a balance of both should do the trick though i believe that not all people know how to achieve that balance which is why we come across people who appear to be dumb when it comes to relationships and make all the wrong decisions and choices.

any more side talk and thread will be locked... ppl please stick to the topic... open another topic about Miss Uni...

As for the topic, listening to your heart will always have a softer touch... you need to use your mind as well...

dont most women think with their hearts and most men think with your mind?

look at the pros and cons... weigh the difference...

I leave listening to my heart as the last option, I listen to my mind first and then approve it by my heart..
i know, people usually do the opposite :os

i always hear people saying that, and surprisingly i have tried so many times, i listen, listen and listen and my heart keeps on telling me the same thing. " I CAN'T TALK YOU IDIOT"

What if your heart wants to do A so bad, but your mind wants to do B so bad? What happens then?

I tend to listen to my mind all the time, and I just shove what my heart wants at the back of my mind. However, it is getting harder and harder to do that and I am thinking I might just need to consult my heart soon :os.

In certain cases listening to your heart can be wiser than listening to your mind , i think its wrong how ppl perceive Mind being the ultimate thinker, what if a person has a stupid mind :p !

I listened to my heart few years back although my mind was strongly resenting it yet i followed my heart and i've never been happier :cute: .

When it comes to heart "rules are meant to be broken",where mind "keeps on increasing the number of rules"!

So sometimes i listen to my heart exclusivly and sometimes i follow my mind entirely ... in other cases i combine the two.

I try to balance both the heart and mind, but if each want two conflicting things, I always listen to my mind. I think I can rely on my mind more than my heart.

Your heart may leed you to foolish things, or it may leed you to great things. It just depends on the situation, Listen to your heart while you're using your brain.

heart without the mind will destroy you... mind without the heart will destroy others. and neither will wipe off your existance.

i can never balance!
and my heart usually wins.
but i never regret listening to it..as strange as it seems..even when listening to my heart screw up things..in the long run it turns out right
and I'm more comfortable following my heart..sure my mind has a role :mmhmm: but it's usually my heart that i follow..

This is what I do. I first listen to my heart, and if it makes sense to me (using my head) I'd definately go for it. If it doesn't make sense to me, I'd try to make it sound sensible and do-able because I know I want it.

Other times, I'd just look at my priorities and how important this is to my life. If it doesn't make a big difference, then I'd just let it go.
