Gates, 51, and Jobs, 52, will be appearing at a conference in Carlsbad, California next Wednesday for a 75-minute joint interview in front of an audience of executives.
The meeting will come 10 years after Gates and Jobs made their most famous joint appearance.
Gates appeared via a satellite link at a Macworld trade show in August 1997, announcing that his company would invest $US150 million in Apple and continue making software for Macs. Steve Jobs had just returned to the company he co-founded after 11 years in exile.

Do you see this to affect the future of Apple or even Microsoft? One side of it could be negative cause if Microsoft managed to increase its share in Mac, its like buying a competitor!
