Well, the university I'm applying for is really silly, that it needs to interview me, lol. My interview is tomorrow! Any tips that might help? besides being confident :bored:

Act like you deserve to be there. That they will be grateful to have you because you will give it your all.

Be smart, clean, not too much perfume or makeup (no chipped nail polish) and be professional and curtious.

don't show them weakness and don't show them that you are 100% serious, try to show them that you have lif, fun being around with.
interviews are mostly about characters and personalities and NOT how well informed you are.
and yea, dress something nice, not like always !.

then just change the university if it is silly ;)

Think about the interviewer instead of yourself. Try to help her do her job. What is she looking for? What does she have to be concerned about? What is she going to make positive and negative recommendations on the basis of? What will she tell HER boss about these interviews she is doing and why?

Put yourself in her shoes and look at things through her eyes. It will help you forget yourself and make things easier for her.

If you do that well, you will have a successful interview.

Don’t ask about how much they pay , Let Him/Her ask you what are you expectation on salary.
Read a bit about the Uni and impress him of what you know about it ( History ) .
Never hesitate
Body language ..

1- Be well dressed & smart, be punctual & shake hands

2- Make eye contact with your interviewers

3- Don't interrupt them, even if you are confident of your answer, let them finish their question or comment

4- Don't give unnecessarily lengthy answers to simple straight forward questions

5- You should know beforehand the answer to a very common question, why did you choose this field & this university?

6- If you don't know something, admit it rather than trying to go into circles & making yourself look smart

7- Make sure your GSM is switched of or silent, don't keep it on the vibrator as you might get distracted

That's all that came to my mind, I'll update should I recall other important points

1- read the news papers , your country news and they might ask you about political thing and your opinion about it.

2- you should know more about the background of the university like when did it raised..etc

3- Just don't feel bad if you feel that they are making fun of you it's somekind of knowing how strong your personality and how long you can control your nerve ;) ( like they drop the pen many times and you can think about new things.. )

4- what can you do for this university?

5- what do you think about your self?

be yourself :-)), try to be comfortable, prepare some answers for common questions.......such as,,,why did you chose this university to apply for...
what made you chose this major....what do you think you will learn from joining...ect...Good Luck...

If you want to show you really care about getting in ask.. "So, how many people do I have to kill to get in then?" and.. "Can the voices in my head come too?"

Well...a Qatari man interviewed me lol. So, I had a problem with this "hand shaking" LOL. He DID ask him Qs which had to do with math, even though he said he wouldn't...:bored:

It went well actually...I made him laugh hehe...he said I have a solid profile :inno:
