The church decided to drop its female players and the priests' team captain walked out in protest

My observations:

Do they always play a game after a meeting ?
Namra 2:
It seems to me this is one mother of provocation.
What do you think ?

LOL, this is funny! Playing football after a meeting.
Tveit said. "We realize now that it will be wrong to have a priest team without women."
I thought that women can't be priests.
Why they can't have a priest team without women, even a priest not allowed to have a wife?
And my final question is are priests sporty (do they have liyaqah) because I understand they always stay in the church no time for sport?
The Church of Norway is Lutheran therefore women can be ordained as priests depending on the country.
Yes, Good for you, Kara.
But they are not PRIESTS. I don't know why the article calls them that. They are Lutheran MINISTERS. Lutherans don't have priests. Protestants don't believe in the Sacrifice of the Mass: they only have preachers, not priests.
Try calling a Protestant church and asking to talk to the "priest" and see what they say! It's like going to the mosque in Muscat and asking to talk to the "ayatollah".

Priesthood is a job and a vocation. They have free time of course! And they can play any sport they like during that free time. It's a matter of taste.
Some prefer to visit their relatives or the sick. Some prefer to write books or edit religious magazines. Others take an active role in the village feast. Others practice music and write songs for children or hymns with a religious theme...

I think maybe Icey is thinking of monks... But even some monks play soccer!

Sport is supposed to bring people closer, not a surprise the match was played after an interfaith meeting
They were ready to play so it had been planned, they hadn't thought of imams special needs
Where is the provocation
