I've heard from someone that if you stayed up all night until the morning, it will cause your blood pressure to increase and that it is very bad for your blood pressure to stay up all night until the morning...

Is it true?

The body has right to give it some rest.
There is nothing better than sleeping 7 hours and wake up fresh.

I need atleast 10 hrs to be fresh.
Since last night, I slept about two to three hours, woke up this morning at five fresh & I am awake since then :bored:

The thing about it is that my eyes are turning bloody red, like I am drunk!

The more the better but I think 7 hours is the standard time, some people take afternoon nap as well. I also think kids need more hours of sleep like 12 to 14 hours per day.

You must have heard it from someone wise, yes, it is true, but not necessarily all those whom are up at night will have high BP

Insomnia & sleep deprivation can make the individual stressed & the latter can increase the blood pressure

High blood pressure most of the time does not have any symptoms, so the person suffering from it won't feel a thing, that's why this disease is called a "silent killer"

Everyone should get regular checkups of his/her vital signs, today we are prone to hypertension & diabetes much more than before

Hypertension & Diabetes are affecting a considerable percentage of Oman's population, and we all the know the reason why

I believe so.. but if you sleep too little or too much, you will get a headache and sometimes you will feel that your eyes have this burning sensation.

a good sleep between 7-9 hours is good enough for the body.

I've been awake all day. Almost 24hours now.

What I've noticed:
-Higher pulse rate
-Some pain in the heart
-Neck pain
-heavy head
-I'm fine until I decide to concentrate on studying or reading something

When you don't get enough sleep, your body doesn't get enough rest, and you're stressed out.

Hitman, doesn't that mean higher cortisol level? It's a hormone that is usually raised when a person is stressed, and yes can cause higher blood pressure.

Saying that, I don't get enough sleep, lol

When I stay awake overnight or only get a couple of hours' sleep, I become extra alert and the teeniest noise shocks me and almost gives me a heart attack. In other words, I think lack of sleep does affect my blood pressure.

I believe 2-3 hours are good enough for sleeping, I do this everyday and on weekends I sleep mostly.
so yeah, staying up is the best.

I've been awake all day. Almost 24hours now.

What I've noticed:
-Higher pulse rate (stop playing PS2)
-Some pain in the heart (You should not feel that bad after she dumped you)
-Neck pain (Her bite still lingers, eh? :p)
-heavy head (you bagged your head onto the tip of table, what were you doing?)
-I'm fine until I decide to concentrate on studying or reading something (oh poor boy, you still love her?)

Science explains everything :p

the best sleep is at night, not during day. you have 17 hrs during day to do whatever u want and yet u steal from these 7 hrs at night and contiune doing what u were doing during day!

the more i sleep i wake up lazy, the less i sleep i wake up fresh and hyper. (weird!)
Sleeping at night is much better, your body needs some rest and so it is better if you sleep for a sufficient amount of time. I'm not sure about the blood pressure though.
