"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
Leo Buscaglia
- How often do you perform a random act of kindess? can you give examples?
- Do you have any inspirational stories of how someone has touched your life by a random act of kindess?
I do not want to limit the topic with specific questions.. so enlighten us with your "kindness" thoughts, stories and ideas... :)
Bimz, if we sharre then don't you think we'll loose the whole point of doing it in the first place .

Well you can share ideas.. you don't have to mention specific examples if you don't want to... plus you don't have mention the actual characters.. be creative.... many people will learn from other's experiences..

An example of some suggestions (something off the Random Act of Kindness Foundation website):
Say hello (Why not make it a stranger, coworker, or acquaintance of another race)
Visit a friend (Welcome a new neighbor from a different cultural background)
Let another go first (Check your shopping cart, if someone behind you has less, let them go first)
Forgive mistakes (Heal an old wound)
Share a smile (You're likely to make someone's day and maybe even undo the damage someone else has done)
Open a door (Your gesture will be appreciated)
Lend a hand (Be aware of the people around you and how you might help to make someone's day just a little bit better)
Be tolerant - and not in the dictionary sense of the word, but in the spirit of the broader Tolerance.org definition, which views "...tolerance as a way of thinking and feeling — but most importantly, of acting — that gives us peace in our individuality, respect for those unlike us, the wisdom to discern humane values and the courage to act upon them."
Offer a hug (Embrace someone on the outskirts of your group)
Do an act of kindness every day (Remember, acts of kindness not only make others feel better, but ourselves as well)
