Have you heard of the robbery in Al Wafi Mall Dubai? A group of robbers crashed into the glass doors of the mall with their cars and robbed a jewelry store..

Dubai At the time of going to press, a top source at Graff revealed to the Evening Post that insurance officials were still evaluating the losses incurred by Graff jewellery store at Wafi City after yesterday’s armed robbery, but initial estimate had a figure of at least Dh 20 million.

I heard two Omani guys robbed one of the McDonald's last week too, but it didn't even get in the news......after they got the cash.....they even ordered 2 "happy meals"......they got caught two blocks away sitting on in their car eating.......

Well this Khaleej is full of quiet wonders ! you'd find the so called raiders are part of either side. I mean they could be without hastle, connected with the jewelry shop as a branch of insurance company that they are supposed to send the claim.

Nab them b4 they inflate the estimate. After all the take is very little money, just over 2million R.O. i think it is not worth bothering to waste more efforts. After all the place as AP observed is not crowded which = equals dull sales. There4 to manage rent and other overheads one ought 2b craftino.

I was in Dubai in the weekend... one of my emirati friends told me that these cars were stolen before 5 years.

damn! then it's gona be so hard to capture these theives huh? :os

It appears that all charges were dropped against the two Omanis......as the facts came out about the supposed robbery.....

Apparently upon reaching the order counter, one guy said to the other......

Come on give me all your money!!!! And the poor Phillipino worker thought he was talking to her........so she emptied the cash register and give him all the money......

The minister's son who was involved......told the press today, of course he will give back the 38 RO......and accepted the apology from the cashier who was fired and deported yesterday......
