Why do we judge people by looks?
Everyone judges everyone as soon when they see or meet them, it's just something in us. Or that's how our minds work, but then we realise, they're the oppsite of what we thought about them, and we tell ourselves,"I won't judge another person again," but we still end up doing it.
Well, that's what I think.

The personality is always there, but when you meet someone 1st, you're not going to know their personality right away, it takes sometime to get to know the person really well.

Why would I do such a thing? What are the looks going to do, if I got the cutest person. Looks don't really matter, you're going to live with his/her personality. You don't want a person with the cutest face, but the worst personality, what is that going to do to you?

I just started to give up in all of it!! There isn't much that can make me smile or make me really look forward to things! Some think am selfish but am not! This is the way I see things around! So many times I trusted people in things but I don't see anything coming back that makes me happy! Is it bad to have high expectations?

only if yur very very VERY picky about who you're going to live with

and its not that its wrong to have high expectations..yur trying to pick the person with the most admirable qualities and those are extremely hard to find.. but since life is short, you'll have to pick the one you think is good enough.. and since all humans have bad sides or qualities to them, you'll have to pick one you believe you can endure his bad qualities.

Thing is... I don't judge by looks... so I don't know. :dev:

person could be ugly but there are other aspects that make them attractive other than outer appearances if you get what I mean.

It's like a talent... you're better at something than others.. and people should recognize that :XD:..

I personally don't judge by looks. I always go for the personality .. but people who judge by looks are driven by normal reactions because this is the first thing we look at. We don't necessarily talk to people but we easily pass judgements just by looking at them.

As for your question on whether some people have both. I agree.

but personality matters more than looks? coz thats what you end up living with..looks fade..in 20-30 years or so :p

Looks are good as initiators for a relationship. When it comes to looks, a minimum of acceptability is good.

While looks are good for initiating a relationship, personality is what matters when it comes to developing the relationship. Personality compatibility may guarantee a perpetual relationship, but looks mutual-attraction alone would never.

NO as long as this person has acceptable looks for an intimate relationship, for other kind of relationships, looks don’t even count.

Yes there are so many. Just keep looking and you will find. I met so many.

P.S. I always look at a person like a computer. When I go to the market I got attracted by the looks of the monitor, keyboard and other visual characters. I check the specs sheets and it is still attractive. After buying it, I soon get used to the cute monitor and the ergonomic keyboard, how long I will keep this computer with me can only be judged by the performance of the hardware. That is how personality to looks. The performance of the hardware is what you cannot see in the market and the only thing that will make you keep or dispose the computer afterwards.

Does being picky person a bad thing though? I mean if you chosse someone and end up spending the rest of your life with this person it's like being stuck with the wrong person for as long as you live! That's the mistake that I don't want to make! We only live life once, we also do mistakes along the way! From what I see around, there are lot of people who are not happy in thier lives which make the idea of meeting that person almost a dream! Even my friends, the people I love and respect after a while of knowing them there are things that dissapoint them about me and the same happens with me! Am not a perfect person but am trying to be one..

I dunno maybe its a human thing or something.if a HORRIBLE MONSTER just came infront of u, u wud automatically think its evil or something...if you see a cute Bunny u would think its the most innocent thing ever! Those are the first thoughts that would come to you...Unfortunately people forget that dosent work with humans coz it could be vice-versa in this case

Judge by who you want to GIVE to, not just what you can GET.

And, Charm, when the right person comes along for you, they will see through all the little weaknesses to the best and sweetest things about you. And they will understand you and see how to make you happy and they will make that their hobby and their passion in life.

And when you meet that person, you will know who it is. Better to wait a little longer for the right one than to settle.

I'd go for the whole package. Visual attraction is just one ingredient. Personality is just another ingredient. It's wrong, IMO.. or rather stupid, to focus entirely on one thing rather than the whole package.

She or he could look great, but be a horrible nasty person. She or he could be butt ugly and have a great personality. He or she could have great looks, a good heart, but foul manners and bad personal hygiene.

The biggest flaw is to think that because someone doesn't like your looks, personality or manners .. means that everyone else won't like them. Perception of beauty, intellect and decency etc. varies from person to person. What is horrible to you, could be handsome or pretty to someone else and vice versa.

Beauty will go sooner or later…. Personality will last for ever !!!!
