View Full Version : Fate ..The Time Line !
darkone 22-02-07, 03:44 PM We all know that fate exist and everything that happens is suppose to happen and we cannot change the future but dose that mean we don't have the control of our liefs ?
or you can control most of what happens to you ?
don't you hate the fact that you have no power to stop somethings ?
But I think that our actions in the present always have some effect in the future maybe even on fate ! ..it just the whole thing is confusing if you thought about it ...
so what do you think ?
BliNd_MelOn 22-02-07, 07:05 PM I believe, that each action leads to a different fate. You have control over your life through the decisions and choices YOU make, that will lead you to your fate whatever it is.
If you decide never to drink water, wouldn't your fate be definitely death? You make another decision and the death fate changes.
Everything in life is connected. Every action has a reaction. :)
Endure Whisper 22-02-07, 11:07 PM I think the decisions we make now, effect our future at large!
LosT_SouL 23-02-07, 10:48 AM Fate and Destiny exist but that does not mean we can not control our lives .
Also there are causes that lead to our fortune and we have deal with it in our ways .. Your choices lead to your fate .. One mistake has its effects in ur life
Threadlike 23-02-07, 02:42 PM I think we are responsible for certain things of our fate. A person can make his own destiny by means of hard-work and determination, in that sense: God WILL help you, which means your 'destiny' will be yours. Fate however, can sometimes be things that you can't control...Your own death. Somebody else's injury. Your next breath. All those are things that you have no control about and if you believe in God or in any religion, you usually have enough faith to surrender their responsibility to God but also take the necessary precautions that may or may not delay them.
The Punisher 24-02-07, 02:18 PM I don't believe in fate, actually, I think that your life is in your hands, where you go? What happens to you? You decide that...
^^ True but still you can't control death can you?! You can't control certain feelings you might have 2 others? You can't control others?! These are some things that are out of our hands! :p
darkone 09-03-07, 10:19 AM thx every one for trying to explain it ... although i don't think there is some one really understand it ..
I hope this will help:
Belief in destiny and fate is one of the basic beliefs of Islam. It means that Allaah is the Knower of all things and the Creator of all things; nothing exists outside of His will and decree. He wrote down all things with Him in al-Lawh al-Mahfooz (the Preserved Tablet), and this was fifty thousand years before He created the universe. Everything in the universe, every creature and the things it does, is the creation of Allaah. Whatever He wills happens, and whatever He does not will does not happen. If something happens to a person, it could not have missed him, and if something does not happen to him, it could not have happened to him. A person is not forced to obey or disobey Allaah – he has free will as befits his state, but it is subject to the will of the Creator. And Allaah knows best..

This issue is not simple. It is not just a matter of understanding, most of the time our experiences in life play an important role in perceiving the issue of fate. I do not want to make it a religious topic but here is what I think:
*We are responsible of our actions and excused for external emergencies that may interrupt our actions.
*At this specific moment you have the choice of continuing reading my post or leaving your desk. Whatever you decide will change the next few moments, minutes or even the day you are living.
That should all sound normal and common sense, but what is the component that we need for our success? It is having a control over the external emergencies! This is what Allah decides and this is what Allah controls. Yet remember, the actions you chose are the ones that may lead you to a situation and you are still responsible for that. Unlucky guy might be lead “by his own choice of actions” to miserable situation that needs those kind of actions to make one’s life a misery. Now, who brought the situation? I would say God but who brought himself to the situation? It is the guy who committed the initiative act.
So again me as a Muslim, I work hard to get what I want and meanwhile I pray to Allah for tawfeeq which is “easing a situation that would square with my endeavor and will lead me where I want.” Does it make sense?
Napoleon Bonaparte said “Success needs hard work and a chance.” That is a little secular translation to what I just said.
Work hard and keep the good intention that will lead your hard work to the right destination.
Listen to this, the prophet peace be upon him heard once a man praying “oh Allah bless me with patience.” The prophet asked him not to pray such a prayer as patience needs a hardship for someone to be blessed with. He asked him to pray “
اللهم نسألك العفو والعافية
” “oh Allah bless us with forgiveness and ease” That was a better replacement.
The good deeds also lead to the good destination, the prophet says “”
صنائع المعرف تقي مصارع السؤ
“The act of good prevent the bad destiny”
It has always to start with the heart, believe me, it takes nothing more than a good heart and hard work. Keep your heart good, clean and a place where Allah is remembered.
"يا أيها النبي قل لمن في أيديكم من الأسرى ان يعلم الله في قلوبكم خيرا يؤتكم خيرا مما أخذ منكم"
So it is not the hard work only, it is the good attitude as well.
Believe me, I saw so many people who worked extremely hard and their endeavors were all in vain, there must be something wrong! I know of some whose attitude wasn’t so clean and ended up failing. I don’t know of any who worked hard ,keeping the good intention and attitude and ended up failing, unless a failure that would lead to a bigger success than the one sought.
I wish if I were talking about this in person, I would have more to say.

You made your destiny and you yourself can be a destiny! Think of it!
darkone 09-03-07, 11:30 AM ^^^^ ...thats the same thing am trying to say and am sure every one well say exactly what you said .... you know am a Muslim too and i know it'zz not a matter of understanding ...it just sometimes there are somethings that confuse me and i dont even want to start talking about them ! ..thx
Fate and destiny are two completely different things.
As far as destiny is concerned, if anything bad happens to you, it has to be your fault. You didn't do something you should have done to prepare for it or prevent it from happening. You should have anticipated, expected, known better, and followed procedure to prevent it. So basically, your destiny is merely an aftermath of your own actions. You have control over your destiny. The choices you make will aid in shaping your so-called destiny.
However, it's not the same with fate. You cannot alter your fate. It's something beyond your reach.
darkone 25-03-07, 01:18 AM ^^^ so destiny is the result of fate ?
