If these statutes are reminders of the Saddam Hussein era, then don't they still have historical value?...

"Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki made the decision to bring down the monument last week in coordination with a governmental body named the Committee for Removing Symbols of the Saddam Era"
Was stability the biggest symbol of Saddam's era?
Anyway, it has been removed already
They don't have loyalty for Saddam, and that's why they did that. Not a big shocker, but what is, is the destroying the monument of Abu-Jaffer Al-Mansoor, which shows they have no loyalty for Iraq at all.
