Since no one seems to want to talk about music in this forum anymore, here's an attempt to understand why.

Based on how much you care and listen to music on a daily basis, on a scale from 1 - 10 (10 being the most important), how important is music to you?

for me, I'd say it's probably a 9.

I feel that most of my fav tunes are sunk inside my head. I can play them anytime I like! Maybe I need more silence than sound in order to pay attention to what is playing inside my head!! So based on that, my listening to External music would be less than 1!!

I only listen to music in the car..and sometimes when i'm online I play something.. I'd say 5/10

I might say from seven to nine for me. The thing about discussing music here in the Sabla, I see whatever I like or mostly listen to is not a common for the members. Lets say not the Sabla only, even the life outside.

I find music is a personal healing thing. I find it hard to discuss music because I feel it's such a personal relationship kind of thing. Like what does it for me, might not do it for you, so talking about it, is like talking in a foreign language. Most won't understand how it feels to you anyway.

I used to find much more time to listen to music. Now I listen to it mostly in the car or when I get this sudden urge to hear a particular song. Back in my hair salon days, I used to have music on ALL the time and switching the stereo off at closing time, I used to realise what a headache it could give me sometimes and how wonderfull complete silence is sometimes too.

I would say music has a backseat position in my life now. But still very important when it is needed. Kind of like a first aid kit.

I am mostly to Arabic Music and with only certain singers !

So I think it can be 6-7/10

I love music. But I like quiet when I do other things.

When I listen to music, I like to do nothing else. Sometimes I even turn the lights out so I won't be distracted.

Music is one of my favorite things in the world.

And no one on earth understands why a succession of notes can have such power over the human psyche or why it captures the imagination the way it does. It's one of the great mysteries of life.

It's interesting to read all of your opinions and it would be even more interesting to see more threads on the music that YOU like. That's what I do when it comes to starting threads, I love music so much that I can't wait to talk about the latest songs I enjoyed and I start a thread in hopes of someone else giving an opinion on it but lately it seems that no one really wants to 'discuss' music. Members don't want to answer the questions I put out nor even start their own threads which they can guarantee an opinion from me no matter how much I dislike the artist because I like music and I'm ready to keep on talking about it with whomever is interested.

I think this forum lacks people who are willing to talk about music, there used to be a bunch of them in the past but they're gone. I'm hoping that more members come along who want to talk about their latest adventures in their own musical world because listening to music is an adventure, or at least that's how I feel about it.

To those who love music so much, I hope in time you'll decide to share your love and passion with us because I am starting to loose hope and interest in this section and I would really hate to see it die eventually.

I just feel like it would be a "waste of thread" to open a whole thread to share one music clip/vid. But if that is what you want, (as in, if that is the whole point of this section) then I can do that.. :D

Anyways, for me, on that scale I'd say I'm a 9 too...probably even a 10. How important? Music (specifically Hip-Hop) is like my 2nd wife...

Well then other members should do something and start their own topics. I don't see you starting threads on the hip/hop artists you like for example.

Besides I rarely start topics on madonna, probably only when she has a major release, you can search the music section and see for yourself.

Members don't want to answer the questions I put out nor even start their own threads which they can guarantee an opinion from me no matter how much I dislike the artist because I like music and I'm ready to keep on talking about it with whomever is interested.

A definite 9.9...I spend about three or four hours daily with music. Obviously, not continuous...

Very important. I would be awfully unfit if I didn't have my pod to keep me going in the gym. However, I'm really not motivated to discuss music with y'all :p

I personally can't live without music, I listen in the car, or on my pc and I can play some of my favorites..

Actually the only fun thing in my life is my music.. :think: One day in class I was so stressed, a guy behind me started knocking on the table in a certain timing, when I heard that, I start knocking with him in the same timing but a different knock.. When we did that, I felt alot of stress off my shoulders..

7/10. I lose interest sometimes when I listen to the same tracks over and over again. But I always carry my iPod with me, whenever wherever.

I dont have to listen to songs, I can go on and on without listening to songs. I have many songs on my laptop and I never listen to them. I just listen to arabic songs now and only one artist, But when I drive, I have to listen to songs.

Good question Nabs. I have been losing interest in music lately. The only times I listen to music nowadays is when I am in the car, and those are usually music that I have already been listening to for a LONG time now. How much out of 10? no idea.

When am in a bad mood, I listen to Music ..
When am bored, I listen To Music ..
When I have nothing to do .. I switch on the stereo ..
So, I give it like 7 from 10 :D
