According to officials, Muqtada al Sadr left his Baghdad stronghold some weeks ago. He is believed to be in Tehran where he has family.

So, let's examine the lay of the land and see if there are any conclusions that are ready to be drawn about Iran:
1) Sadr has family in Iran
2) Sadr is a Shia
3) Sadr has allegedly gone to Iran
4) Do we think that Iran wants a Western-style democracy in Iraq?
5) Do we think that Iranians believe that an Islamic nation must be ruled by an Islamic government on the basis of Islamic law.?
6) Do we think that Shias believe that an Islamic nation must be ruled by an Islamic government on the basis of Islamic law.?
7) Do we believe that, outside Iran, the main areas of Shia influence are south Lebanon and southern Iraq?
8) Is it feasible to believe that Iran has imposed its ideology through Hizbollah, the Shia militia trying to bring down the secular government?
9) Is it beyond the bounds of credibility to believe that the same process is going on in Iraq - i.e. Iranians forging ties with a variety of radical Shia militias?
10) If there is a secular democracy in Baghdad - how will this affect the regime in Iran?
After all, if Iraq's 15 million Shia Muslims can tolerate a secular government, then why not Iran's 50 million Shia?
Now tell me, is it possible that Iran is involved?
