Are you one of those people who hate watching long movies or are you one who thinks the longer it is the better?

I keep on reading comments about movie being 'longer than it should be' or 'it was too long' and I just don't get it. I am one of those who just loves being in the cinema and so the longer the movie is the more fun I have.

If the extra time is adding nothing to the whole thing, I mean its more like extra scenes which can be simply deleted, so then I would say it was that long, or its not supposed to be that long!

they don't add extra scenes for nothing, they always have a purpose. name me ONE movie that had extra scenes that add nothing to the meaning of the movie? I personally cannot think of any.

They are not like we will add this scene as extra scene. But, they delete scenes as they see them extra.
You see that these scenes add something, for some movies I don't see that. We hardly come across long movies, & I am not saying every long movie has extra unneeded scenes, for an example "King Kong" was too long. But, I enjoyed every moment!

I just wonder why some movie DVDs will come with 'Deleted Scenes', if they see there is a purpose for every scene, so why they will deleted these?!

It really depends ... Of course I do not enjoy watching every single movie, some movies are boring and while watching them I feel uncomfortable if they were long, even if they were not long, I wish if they finish as soon as possible. On the other hand, other movies which I find very interesting, I don't mind if they were TOO LONG, I would actually enjoy every bit of it if it was long and wish it never finished.

For instance, last week I watched Blood Diamond, and I really enjoyed watching it. It was long, around two hours and twenty minutes, or so... However, I really enjoyed watching every bit of it, and wished the movie never finished. It was too interesting that I didn't feel it was that long, and I was shocked when I found out that I stayed in the theatre for more than two hours. And for a movie I watched and didn't like the fact that it was long, Chicago. The movie was really boring for me, and I didn't like it at all. And I really felt it was too long, and I was about to leave the theatre before it ends, but I had to stay with my brother, he was enjoying watching it.

But I'm not talking about the bonus deleted scenes, I'm talking about the final directors cut which everyone gets to watch whether on dvd or in the cinema.

As long as I am enjoying the movie and it is my style I don't mind it's long.

Sometimes, if I don't like long movies if the story is bored I don't like it's being long for non sense scenes !

I came to watch these deleted scenes & for the some, I think they could have been included within the original final cut.

The thing to say, even if I am liking a movie & enjoying it. It doesn't mean I will have to agree with every scene as it should be there, & here I am talking about these scenes if they got deleted, they will make no effect!

I would go with "The longer the better"! Especially if it was a good interesting movie.

In my opinion, action movies should be long, UNLESS they were action/fictional movies, such as Matrix.. But, watching normal action movies like The Transporter for example would get really boring if it was longer..

Other than that, these drug dealer movies should be really short..
Horror movies are following the rule of the longer the better! :D
