BliNd_MelOn 06-02-07, 01:23 PM Do all aeroplanes have an auto-pilot ? Hmm.. If this is a serious question, then you might find the following interesting: Autopilot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto_pilot) If not, please let me know! :) Desert_Sloath 06-02-07, 07:26 PM No ... mine does not have 'outo-pilot'. Then, would you care to enlighten me which ones do ? And what type is yours ? . sameerb1 06-02-07, 10:53 PM well, i heard once my professor telling me that these days all the planes we ride(long distance rides) are on auto pilot and the pilot is there just to check on that everything is OK and also the passengers wouldnt be scared that we are riding a plane which is riding itself Rossonero 06-02-07, 11:06 PM Not all, only the modern ones. There is one airplane that can not be landed by any man, therefore the computer does it all, with lazer and x-rays : it is the airbus Beluga: http://spot5.cnes.fr/photos/divers%20-beluga%20%E0%20cayennehigh.jpg LosT_SouL 08-02-07, 03:21 AM INteresting aeroplane ..Rossonero, This is the first time I see this plane Rossonero 08-02-07, 03:59 AM It is used to transport wings made in Broughton (N.Wales) to Airbus factories in Toulouse and Spain. I've seen the airplane take-off..check my blog for more info =p I guess all modern planes have autopilot there, and the pilot is there so that people dont get scared when they hear that the airplane is flying on its own, pilot-less Jeff 08-02-07, 04:07 AM They are saying that soon the age of man-flown aircraft will be over and a thing of the past....like the horse and buggy. Haroundb 08-02-07, 07:59 AM I guess all modern planes have autopilot there, and the pilot is there so that people dont get scared when they hear that the airplane is flying on its own, pilot-less Yes but if it is like so, then the piolt should make more action like performing a "sho sho wa wa" dance or something so that to bring the attention of the passengers that he is thair and in full shape! Desert_Sloath 11-02-07, 08:07 PM Yes but if it is like so, then the piolt should make more action like performing a "sho sho wa wa" dance or something so that to bring the attention of the passengers that he is thair and in full shape! The important thing is auto-piloting of an aircraft is possible. But obviously not programmed by the would-be pilotier :lift: This tells us the 9/11 incidences could have been thru these means. Otherwise, how did the so called Atas & Co manage with all restrictions on the ground ? . Thug4Life 11-02-07, 09:02 PM a Politic aim of the thread???!!! |
