Did anyone watch the new Canadian sitcom: Little Mosque on the Prairie?

It's about Muslims in a small rural area in Canada.

All in all, the show is nice and smartly written, yet I did not like some sexual references the show had. They could have done without them.
Also, the old Imam's Arabic is really broken, which is not very usual thing. The imam said إلا الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات وتواصوا بالخسر* وتواصوا بالصبر instead of "إلا الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات وتواصوا بالحق وتواصوا بالصبر" :o

Anyhow, enjoy :)

:D This is actually REALLY funny! I was expecting a lame Islamic cheap show.
The script is really clever, and the actors are great.
Some of the things they say I'm against, but Oh well, nothing too offensive till now. We should learn to laugh at ourselves.

the Imam was reading the Quran saying:....Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the loss, and of Patience and Constancy.

while the correct is:

Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.

both words in bald sound similar in arabic, thats why he got confused in the word which is mentioned in ayya that's before this one :)

I saw the first two episodes a couple of weeks back and I thought the script was alright, but the acting could be a little better. I felt like I was watching a school play, and not a TV show.
Still, it's something different for a change..
