Salam,

I'm not feelig well, so the dotcor prescribed this dietary supplement that includes zinc and copper:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100142&navAction=jump&navCount=1&id=prod3501

Is it normal for the human body to need copper? :os

Check this:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100142&navAction=jump&navCount=1&id=prod3501#nutrition

Is it OK to take 667% of the Thiamin and 150% of the cooper that I need daily? Or am I reading the figures wrong?

I don't mean to be gross, but my urine's colour is some how phosphorous eversince I took this.

Thanks,

Of course, as a matter of fact, studies have been conducted on animals & Copper was found to have protective effects on Osteoporosis & heart diseases

Check this link (http://www.anyvitamins.com/copper-info.htm) for more details

Change in urine colour is quite common among those consuming multivitamins, especially those taking B-complex supplements, it is vitamin B2 that gives the colour you mentioned above

Thanks Hitman.

I have another question. Are the doses here normal:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100142&navAction=jump&navCount=1&id=prod3501#nutrition

I'm considering taking it every other day. I'm feeling a bit light-headed, and I have a feeling it might be because of the supplement.

Thanks again.

All supplements are according to the RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowances) & are approved by the FDA before being sold

However, they are more like placebo when it comes to people having a well balanced diet. Which means taking those supplements are same as skipping them

You are most welcome
