Freecycle is a mailing list where members exchange unwanted items with each other, well exchange, give away or any of those kind...

The Freecycle Network™ is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free. To sign up, find your community by clicking on the region on the left. You may then go directly to your local group by clicking on "Go To" or you may immediately joining by clicking on "Join." It will generate an automatic e-mail which, when sent, will sign you up for the local group and send you a response with instructions on how it works. Can't find a group near you? i think paper recycling should start here in oman when that happens maybe such organisationz wud be more successful!!!

you could sign up and start recycling your papers (magazines and stuff) there, maybe if we post someone else will sign up to get those...

This group was started by me a long time back. I had also forgotten about the group. The group itself reminded me of itself that its still there and i am not taking care of it.

Anyways...

The concept of the group is very interesting i think but it lacks enthusiatic members who would instead of throwing away their stuff, give it out to someone else who might be in need of that item.
