Maybe if you suggest the field in which you would like to research in, maybe then we could help you find a topic that would appeal to you.

You're doing a school project or thesis?

If so, and you want to impress your teacher and score points, choose something that no other student has done before you. (ie. keep your teacher interested..)

I recently read that the level of education and success has an important relationship with the availability and quality of water to the region.

That's something you can research on that I'm sure would surprise your teacher.

Another topic you can focus on is education in the form of play. Many people think that toys are just entertainment for children.. what they don't know is that they are just another form of education from a very very young age.

As for social issues, you can talk about taboos I guess, but this isn't going to be anything new... you can talk about witnesses and victims of abuse who don't come forward because of society etc...

just a few ideas off the top of my head.. not sure if that was what you were looking for..

What is the duration of the research? Is it a long-term one to end up with writing a thesis or publishing in scholastic journals? If so then I think you first need to check the availability of the resources in your school library and also the online available resources and the topic must square with the interests of your professor which he or she must have posted online. The selection of the topic usually takes from one and up to a semester or two and I know of some people who went through trial and error scheme to settle on a topic.
I do not even see the sablah as the right place to look for such a topic, it should be more serious then.

If it is just a few pages or an interim paper then here are a few topics that I would consider:

-The effect of the parents’ literacy level on the performance of their children
-The effect of the home environment on the performance and upbringing of the child
-The importance of and factors affecting Building self-esteem during childhood
-The effect of the cultural background on the originality and analytical skills of the student
-The advantages and disadvantages of cultural cringes in developing societies

These are a few topics that I would like to read about.
If you are still unsure then I think it is extremely imperative to consult an expert in the field. My suggestions are those of a layman, may not be worth-considering even.

I guess that I forgot to put “literature” beside education and social issues. Frankly, I was thinking about Shakespeare 2 b th topic of the research but I could not decide how. :help:

Frankly, I was thinking about Shakespeare 2 b th topic of the research but I could not decide how. :help:

well, 1st you can research the origin of Shaik`Zberr himself ? Who knows you could come up with something new. He could turn up to have been an Omani whose parents sailed to the Uk long long time ago. If you dug deeper you could unravel the fact that there are a lot of similar words in English which are in Arabic and giving the same meanings. 'earth' for 'arth' etc, etc. :mmhmm:

Integration of special needs school children. How to ingrate children with special needs into the mainstream. Would really be good to know how is this going ahead in Oman.
