Hi aLL,
Am Seeking Imediate Urgent Help....
I have Highly Important Info saved in a CD but unfortunatily the CD got scratches & I guess 4 that it refuses to open...
Plz tell me, is there any software/programe or anything that may help me 2 recover the data in that CD.............
Ur ASAP help would be appreciated..

Try these software:

BadCopy Pro (http://www.downloadatoz.com/badcopy-pro/download.html)
Let us know which one works for you. Both of them are full evaluation versions.
Use toothpaste and a soft cloth to remove the scratches.
Do not rub around the disc, rub from the inner to the outer edge.

It depends on both, the CD and the CD drive. I have experience ... big one with bad CDs and rarely the cleaning thing would work. Sure there are ways to retrive bad CDs but it is very difficult and requires advanced equipments to refill the damaged surface.
Not sure about these programs but I am sure that Physical problems of the CD can't be fixed with a software means!

just be careful!
last time my friend tried to open the scratched CD and it braked inside the CD-ROM damaging the computer of course :os
I believe there is a disc fixer that you can buy off the market. Quite honestly I'm not sure where you can find it in Oman, but I heard it is pretty powerful. A sample can be found here (http://www.goelectronic.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/full/dsr-1.jpg)
