I heard this two statement in a debate

Knowledge is a power

Knowledge is money !

Of course each one has his own reasons and explanations for agree with his statement


What do you think ?

Which do you agree with ? and WHY ?

And why do you disagree with the other statement ?

Umm all I know is that when you have 'ka-ching' you possess power.

Cash = Power
No Cash = No Power

With power you can influence to people and make money.
With money you coud buy power.
With power you could get the money to buy power.
with money you could buy power to make you earn money.

This question's a paradox, you need both, those two are pieces of a whole part.

That's so not true. Most of the influential people (Hitler, Ghandi, Mother Teresa..etc) weren't rich. They did however have the knowledge on how to influence people. Money obviously helps, but knowledge is a more important factor.

Knowledge sometimes ====> MONEY======> Power

Nowadays, knowledge is money. You will not get a perfect job and get promoted unless you have enough knowledge! And if you have the money, you get the power... sooo umm yea, knowledge is money!

Knowledge gets you gaining many things...
Among them are money and power.

Well we live in such a vehemently materialisitc world nowadays. You can't go on comparing and contrasting today's world with yesterday's. Today's youth are only influenced by the likes of Paris Hilton (not generalizing) who is a total airhead.

... it's the concept that counts...

but to have money and power you defintly need knowledge cause if you dont know enough you cant keep any even if you were born with a golden spoon in your mouth

I think power only comes with good leadership, charisma and money. All of these 3 characteristics are needed in order to gain power. Leadership only comes with knowledge. Thus, knowledge is power!

Knowledge also plays a big role in someone's fortune. A knowledgeable person can make money out of nothing! Thus, knowledge is money!

Knowledge is Power...cause i dont see how you are gonna get that money if you dont have knowledge (unless u inherit it or something).Yes people with Money Do ''seem'' powerful and all but if they never struggled for it they would be no where....Like i doubt money is EVERYTHIng EVERYWHERE.In the villages here the elders have the most Power Not because they are rich But because they have vast knowledge about SOoOoO many things that help their people in many ways that money could not...

Knowledge gives you power and power gives you money
so you can say knowledge is money but people doesn't know it comes from power in this case, but if you told them knowledge is power, they know by having power you can get money and many other things.

Both are correct.
Knowledge is Power and that is how you can get where you want.
Knowledge is money and this is also true, knowledge has become a very strong mean to gain money. Even the prophet PBUH said, man arad al-dunia fa3alyhi bil3ilm, If someone is seeking the benefit of Dunia (earthly life) then he/she should get knowledge.
Knowledge is the only thing that is mentioned in the Hadith and Quran as a mean to achive both Dunia and A7’irah and nothing else.

Yep I agree with that! Knowledge = Money because you can sell your knowledge, you can transfer it to ideas and projects and make money! :) and of course, with money comes power, like it or not..

If are born in an average family then you have to work hard for both... If you were from a rich family then you have to work hard to get the knowledge... Both are very imprtant so I agree with TH and BM.

I personally see Knowledge as a power ... to be able to manage any situation you are in cause of you knowledge is a power not anyone can have it !

Sometimes Knowledge would give you money and this is fine, but even if it didn't ( and it isn't the sake of many people ) then at least you got it as a power
