I have noticed that my ADSL connection provided by OmanTel is a bit slow for the last couple of weeks or so

Did anyone else notice a similar problem?

yah ... mine too .i have the same problome ... i dnt know why .. maybe it'zz cuzz of the phone connection or it'zz from omantel it self !

This is the normal problem with the connections. I think that its because of the festival, since it started, there are more people around and maybe omantel cannot handle the overload...There are millions of possibilities...

me they say stuff about i cant sign in the msn coz of the connection !

Yeah, I've been having the same problems too.

The problem is that there is this international link which is down. The traffic of this link is directed to other links, so whoever their connection going through these links they will face this.

yeah probably, cause i couldn't connect for almost 35 hours

OmanTel never announces such problems to its' customers

We always have to find out by other means

I think it is not a smart move not to inform the customers about what's going on!!

The earthquake happened is causing the problem.

yeah I got this problem too, and almost everybody in my list got "f*** omantel" as their nick names :XD:

Other countries/ISPs who use the same link are facing the same problem.

I think it's because of the huge load on the service and most people now using ADSL instead of dail up :S

OmanHell must betterment their service !
