The program for Muscat Festival 2007 looks very xciting. A lot of stress is on culture, heritage, arts, craft, creativity. Of course usual musical stuff is also tehre but some of that has given way to more creative activities. I think its wonderful opportunity to intiate newer form of activity in younger generation who are otherwiose hooked on to TV and PC. Lets celebrate.:flag:

I have no interest in the festival. I heard some talk about this time it's really different and new.. etc. But, I don't think it would be.. Hmm, we'll see, I guess. They could've done better with the TV ad. for it.

I have been to every single festival since it started and I have to be honest and say that every year it was more dissapointing than the previous one..so I really hope that this year they would actually try and do something different. The cultural aspect of the festival is nice but its extremely boring to me now because there's nothing different about it..My hope is that they would actually make an effort to bring to us those fantastic huge game rides because lets face it thats probably the best thing about this whole event.

I just hope it has a positive effect on Oman's economy as well as giving Oman a positive image

i like the free concerts at Shatti, even tho its the same stage, the same place and the same stuff, you get to see an artist performing for free live!!!

other than that, i love the cultural village at Qurm Park, again, even tho same shit over and over again, but still, its only once a year reminds me of the old days buyin stuff from the old lady. gettin to eat lola dangoo, Aursia, ra'7al n stuff

the only place i hate to go is medan Maharjan(Festival ground). its crowded and good for nothing. just the normal games n stuff and shoppin for girls. boring that place is.

is there anything else in Muscat Festival that happens and i didnt cover it?

I was hoping to catch their automotors activities last year. But, i didn't. So I am not interested this time.

the BEST festivel was the FIRST one ever..remember the games which used to be behind 3araimi!!! well i enjoyed last years fest. especially the Sling Shot' game....but 5 rials was too much man!!

I am lookin forward for this fest. and i hope there would be new scary games to ride on :)

I dont like the festival at all.. Its all about tarqeem ( numbering ) and m'3azla ( Flirting )

i relly dnt know why they call it a festival in the first place ?!!! therzz nothing new on it .. we are used to it naw like 6 years or moor .. nothing diffrent .. they just talke .. dnt do anything .. ppl go there just to have fune althugh they know that therzz nothing intrsting there ..

i hate the mahrajan (festival) i dunno wha da hell is so intreasting about it!! its just so crowded and there is not point in going there nothin intreastin reallyy... i think ive beeen to the mahrajan like emmm wha 4 times in ma whole intire life... i dont find it ammusing at all!!

read in the news paper that in Medan Maharja(festival ground) and in Qurm park, nawras WIFI will be free for use
during festival nawras new card (Musbaq) will be for 9 rials and will have 10 rials credits in it and nawras ajal will be same and for first 3 months there will be a 25% discount on your bills

I just cant stand crowded places with guys staring at you from every angle and throwing stupid sarcastic comments in your face.

I know I'm going to go there wether I liked it or not (my friends!), I heard there are new games there (or whatever those machines are called). Thats the only fun thing.
There are better places to go to, cinema, bowling ..etc.. I don't know why do people like it there. "We can go to the cinema anytime, this festival is only for one month" :duh: !

I went to the one in Athaiba yesterday, was funny seeing indians selling : African Food, Irani food etc. Irani food : French Fries. African Food : Falafil. Egyptian Food : Shawarma

Was also funny and hideous seeing each pair wearing the same exact clothing and walking next to each other, while others wearing Undertaker coat!

I didnt feel he was giving it his all, listend to his other concerts in Abha etc and his singing was better.

The guy playing the Naay (arabian instrument like the flute) didnt do his job well.

I really wanted him to sing Ya Sumaar, there is a solo for the Oud in that song and its a lovely part.

It was funny how he was orchestrating the musicians
