I attempted accessing Blogger Beta (http://beta.blogger.com/) this morning (Dec 14th, 9am) and I was shocked to see a "blocked by Omantel" message. The main website page for Blogger.com is still accessible, but people that have already migrated to the new beta will not be able to make any use of that. Profiles of people that have already moved to the new beta are not accessible either. The website was still functional last night when I used it (Dec 13th, 10pm).

Today is the first day of the weekend so there isn't much that we can do, I think that we have to complain to the TRA (http://www.tra.gov.om/), I do not know if they would be of any actual help though.

I called Omantel cause I remember last year when Iops was blocked, it was dsl problem
They took my ip address to check
If it was a real block, they'd do also with the blogs but still they can be read

So now my blog dashboard is blocked?

i can't believe this stupidity.. i can't access my dashboard and can't log into my account !

It's accessible with me and I can even view profiles of Beta Bloggers (http://beta.blogger.com/profile/07449573689529063537)!

I would have been pissed as well if I was in oman..I really think it's stupid that they decided to block it.

I cannot access the dashboard, but I can still update (http://blue-chi.blogspot.com/) my blog through the post-by-email feature. You can only use this service if you already have it activate, you cannot use it if you do not have access to your dashboard.

I don't use the beta version. I use the normal blogger version...is that blocked too?

...^^nope... that's why they say never be the firsts to upgrade :p... there are always problems in the beginning. I know I would get pissed if that happened.... I hope they allow access soon.

it was a technical problem with the beta version of blogger
now everything is ok
this is not Saudi Arabia where for example they blocked only the contact page of HRW right when a committee is going there to check

though nothing official has been released, Omania has been blocked cause there's an investigation going on and is a logical action

See the fact that you dnt trust your government and immediately throw accusations on them, is per se an offence
They should jail you only for the way you use your brain
