Looks interesting indeed. Must-Watch.
NiGhTFaCe 12-12-06, 07:46 PM It seems interesting, I will wait for it.
Shinoda LP 12-12-06, 08:05 PM Its doing pretty well in the US box office. I haven't seen it yet because I can't find anybody to go and watch it with me... most of my friends love the commercial and the leave-your-brain-at-home kinda movies.
If I do watch it anytime soon (before the movie hits Oman) then I'll update here.
As far as I know it will be out this weekend here in the UAE. If so, I will sure Inshallah watch this weekend and come back with my review.
You are invited Shinoda :)

Miss_StarBucks 15-12-06, 02:00 PM I'm not sure if I gona 2 see it or not
Teddy Yawza 15-12-06, 03:37 PM I'll watch it for sure. Its getting pretty good reviews and well Mel Gibson directed it.. so it has to be good
I watched it in the cinema today and it was very very good. Gibson has always been excellent with the way he directs his movies and this is no exception and even though there aren't any famous faces in this picture it was performed really well. Not much talking was done which is probably a good thing since it's not in english but the action and chase scenes were really great. Alot of blood though and alot of disturbing scenes..so I don't advise people who can't stand such things to watch it.
I personally really enjoyed it.
9/10
Teddy Yawza 06-01-07, 10:00 PM Mel has done it again! This was an amazing movie, I really enjoyed it. Really original, different, raw. And the fact that it is in another language really lifted the movie to another level. You would easily mistake the first time actors with no experience for professionals. Kudos to Gibson for revolutionising movie making.
10/10
Jihad4Truth 15-01-07, 12:08 AM I saw it last night. Found it very original and brillant. It really captured some brutal facets of humanity and development. And the top bad guy was so enjoyably hard core. I really liked it.
Interesting how they built pyramids just like the ancient Egyptians.
ToomuchaT 15-01-07, 02:22 AM .. sorry but found it mmmmmm.. nothing special abt it!!
.. got some family members killed.. then took revenge *omen was bad not even proper revenge*!!
2/10

The Punisher 15-01-07, 07:09 AM Cool, anything for Mel Gibson is great.

They aren't pyramids, they're called Ziggurats :)

What did she mean by it's a very catholic movie? I didn't see anything catholic in it lol. And why do you have to wait for it to come out on DVD? Go watch it in the Cinema! It's much better.

Weeeel....what did you make of the end? If you understand the end, you understand what she meant.
Yes, I know, better in the cinema. But we're cheap; we wait til they come out on DVD. :p
I didn't have the chance to see, I was very busy when it was out :(
I will try to find a DVD or any site to see it soon.
I can't imagin that I miss it
Jihad4Truth 18-01-07, 06:19 AM They aren't pyramids, they're called Ziggurats :)
Yeah ok whatever, they are pyramids. A pyramid is a geometric shape. Didn't you play with blocks as a kid?
A ziggurat usually refers to ancient mesopotamian terrace pyramids, not the mayan step pyramids.
Anyways it is interesting that 2 completely different civillizations, unknown to each other, separated by oceans and millenia, built PYRAMIDS.
NiGhTFaCe 31-01-07, 11:05 AM It got released here, you will find it at Al Shatti Plaza, Ruwi & Al Bahja Cinemas.
darkone 31-01-07, 12:22 PM it seams gr8t ! am sure that am gowin to see it ! ..when it will be out ?
NiGhTFaCe 02-02-07, 08:21 PM I watched it this afternoon. This is different, not like any other movie, maybe except for Mel Gibson's films. Well done for him.
A great story represented by good actors performance & well made scenes. The shooting was different, the way was kinda like a documentary, maybe because of whatever they were shooting.
Great scenes, some were perfect! A lot of blood & some actions were disturbing. But, I wouldn't mind it here, all to deliver the idea.
I liked the music. 4.9/5.
sameerb1 03-02-07, 01:56 PM too much blood
Mel Gibson is pure magic when he directs. From now any movie that he makes is a must see for me. Just excellent.
Too much blood yes, but a story behind all that blood shed, a lesson for us mankind.
Side chat - I think there could be a sequel, since they show the foreigners coming in the end.
Oh by the way - Ronaldinho was just great lol.
death rose 13-02-07, 02:44 AM to be honest .... i didnt like it that much

Elizabeth and I watched it for the first time about a week ago and we loved it!
We even let Billy watch it and he loved it too.
Brilliantly done and wonderfully shot.
We have a huge populations of Mayans in the US now from Mexico and Guatemala. And they loved it too. It must be really cool to see a great modern movie on the screens in your own little language that only you and your friends speak!
yasirb51 23-06-07, 02:33 AM whos elizabeth and billy ? :)
