There are quite a lot of games that can be either overrated, or loved by everyone but you can't see why everyone loves it.. anywhoo What are the games or series you just hate but find everyone loving it? Also what games do you find highly overrated? (this doesn't mean its a bad game but what i mean is its an okay game with nothing special)

For me, its sports games hands down.. especially the soccer series.. I don't see the fun in buying the same games yearly where only a few changes happen... I wouldn't if that was on pc because patches would've helped that..

I also think the Halo games are highly overrated. Many people thought its the next best thing since sliced bread.. I don't see what is sooo fun about it (I finished halo one.. single player was too short and multiplayer is okay)

RPG's... I personally don't like rpgs. I wouldn't mind if they were action rpg's such as castlevania or zelda but i hate ones that are turn based.. I remember getting pokemon blue for the gameboy and despite i wasn't able to understand it (it was in spanish) the whole game i used blastoise with 2-3 attack moves.. it was quite boring to be honest..

I don't really have anything against it as a game, but I've never been a fan of it, never learnt to play it properly and still don't play it. I always end up watching my mates play which is mainly why I started hating it.

I don't get why the guys are always so serious and personal sometimes when it comes to Winning 11.

Need for speed carbod :bored:..I tried it, and i sucked at drifting, i was going in zigzags..like "WWWW" I mean what was that about? How can some ne actually bypass that drifting event? I have always hated MGS, i bought part two and tried it out.. It wasnt anything special, even though i still dont understand the whole story line.. =B

a game should be good with the single player
almost ANY game can be fun mutiplayer
multi is just an added feature but is not the meat of the game(there are exceptions like MMORPGS)

Surely not every single gamesite is biased. What makes any other game different? Like i said, it's all about personal taste. People love Halo mostly because of it's multiplayer. Halo 2 is the largest selling game worldwide (it topped movies like Spiderman 2, Harry Potter...etc), and Gears Of War is right around the corner. Aren't racing games all the same? How about every single sports game? Say Winning Eleven. How about RPG games?

The thing is, i may not realise what changes in games i'm not interested in, but others do. To me, every single Final Fantasy game is the same damn game. But then again, we both clearly know that isn't true.

@Yasir, any multiplayer game can be fun? Hah! Tell that to people who play games just for multiplayer. 60% of people play online, keep in mind that it is only online, don't forget splitscreen and system link. Not revolutionary? And i'm guessing Final Fantasy is? Think again. Bioware RPG games are revolutionary, not SquareEnix games.

Its not that its just that they view halo as if it has revolutionized every aspect of FPS games when to be honest it's not. I think the ones that truly revolutionized FPS gaming comes down to the legendary trio of Doom (pc), Goldeneye (n64) and Half-life (pc)... These FPS made more breakthroughs than Halo..

Dont get me wrong I love halo and its multiplayer is good but I still believe that its extremely overhyped.

No, it's an example. MorphaKnight, i played Winning Eleven games. I can't even tell the difference between Winning Eleven 6 from Winning Eleven 10, besides graphical point of view of course. Don't even dare claim what is revolutionary and what isn't, because you may think Halo isn't, But 200 million people may differ.

Keep in mind that Halo is a FPS run and gun game. Those games you mentioned obviously revolutionized, because it was the first in it's genre. Doom was something new, as was Half Life and Goldeneye (gotta love the Half Life franchise). Halo revolutionized the run and gun genre, the combat was extremely fun, it wasn't meant for adventure. Half Life is more of an adventure FPS game rather than run and gun, Doom was FPS survival horror, and Goldeneye was action adventure.

The newest best first person game out there is definitely Rainbow Six Vegas. It definitely revolutionized tactical FPS by it's stunning cover system and amazing combat.
