A seventeen (17) year old boy has brought in the hospital where I work with severe damage in whole his body , he lost one of his eyes and broken bones in whole his body, he looks like coming from a war ??? I asked who did for him like this ? People said that eleven ( 11 ) sawaheli boys from alkhuwair attacked him and kicked and punched him at night .
These peolle who attacked him has no sense and they must be animals , because the boy looks like dead boy with blood all over his body ,, the attack happend last week.
These 11 sawaheli boys no heart because no one can do what they did.
I have lived long time but I havn't seen this type of attackes in my life.
So after this who will say that the people here are acting like Americans and seing the tv and the movies .
There must be some actions from omaney police.

I can only say that I hope that we do have good Omani police. We need educated criminal investigators for all types of crime, because if it is on the increase then be ready to hear worse things happening soon. Like bombs in buildings that will kill many people. Or attacks on innocent victims which I guess is already happening, but we need to know that they will be dealt with professionally. Do we have the manpower to deal with this? I don't know but I'll be glad to know if we do. I hope the govt. in charge is sending our investigators to be trained for all crime situations.

i totally agree with warda , we need to stop complaining and start acting .
ROP will not do much , not today and not tomorrow , they are busy giving tickets to us and harrassing our sisters.
grow up people , take care of yourself , Oman is not as safe as it used to be.

I am tring in my way by telling my brothers and relatives and friends that we should stop acting and helping only relatives .
I am telling them to stop acting in tribes and ganges and herting others if they are not from our tribes.
This what can I do personally, but about standing against police and goverment that will start slowley 1st by writting 2nd educating people 3rd demonestrating 4th by force.
I think we should never forgive any one attack one of our friends with ganges and sent them to the jails .

The problem is every one making groups and shila ,so they can attack each other, I don't know why we kill each other while we live in one country and share every thing, why ? why ?
Tell when we act in tribes like enimeis why we don't stop these things by ourself without waitting for police or government.
I call all omanies to be one hand no need for all of this what they do.
Wakeup live together make peace with each other help each other , you are all muslims you are all omanies all from one place .
These days every one is getting marry from other tribes and people are mixing with each other so let us stop this violence because of this or that.
We have other problems to look for a solution for it like employement and cheeting and rashwa and others ...etc.
So let us leave these fighitings and groups and gangs , live with each other peacefully.

I HOPE ONE DAY SEE YOU TOGETHER MORE AND MORE .

Good society is not a responsibility of Police alone. It is primarily a responsibility of religious and society leaders. Every neighbourhood has elders, teachers at school, parents at home. Those are the ones responsible for the youngsters.

Police comes last when all other means have exhausted. Media has responsibility of showing educative films on social problems. Clubs at youth levels also are responsible. These formations of gangs are a product of vacuum that exhists among the youths. Club leaders are also responsible for not playing their role.

This is also a responsibility of the appropriate ministry, to be specific ministry of Shabab. As youths of this beloved country let us not spoil our country. We should be very thankful to His Majesty. He has taken care of us, he is the one who promised us "education even under a shade of a tree." Let us be examplary in gratitude to our leader. We should take care of misguided fellow Shabab/s and guide them to what is better. Let us not allow astrayed ones to errode our good values.

Let us not blame our own failure on the Police. What 'good' have we done ?

Honestly I don't see a big deal about this thread, two boys fighting eachother for one reason or another it's something normal to happen. But action should be taken from the parents first.

amo_l_oman doesn't mean it in bad faith. she means that she causes us to 'brain storm our minds' and not trouble in a real sense of the word. Same goes to one guy named mr pinnochio. mr pinnochio would annoy you with his questions but it is really enjoyable replying his kuwaitions.

Now why on earth would you bring back a thread as OLD as this one AE?.. If it were an old discussion, then myabe that would be okay.. But with something like "Old News".. I'd rather not! :D

I do wonder how this ended...Y'all can open a new thread about Gangs in Oman.. If they still exist.. :)

I think wastas get you out of a lot of crap, but not when it comes to stuff like this. Plus I don't know a decent father who would actually try to help a son like that out and ease the punishment. People like that deserve maximum sentences.
