Genetic science has been advanced so rapidly after the Human Genome Project.
It is becoming more clear why some people are susceptible to disease while others not. Why some patient respond to drug and other not.

Recently, studies identified a gene which is responsible in breaking down caffeine (gene: CYP1A2). Variation in this gene caused some people to be more susceptible to heart attack when they take coffee. [ study done at university of Toronto]

Thus I am interested i the following question: will you quit taking coffee if you find that you carry the bad gene?

i know there are many coffee lovers

I do like coffee but if it's bad for my health, then I can quit having it :)
I used to drink an average of two cans of fizzy drinks on daily basis! I made a decision and stopped doing that. Now I only have two cans a week as maximum :)
I can do the same with coffee too ;)

You doctors seem to be having a heck of a time trying to quit fizzy drinks! :p
One of my brothers is a doctor and actually he is the main supplier of fizzy drinks! When he is not around, you don't find them in the fridge! :XD::XD:

I rarely have coffee and when I do, I feel sick afterwards mostly.
But, if it's Pepsi or Coke.. Maybe, I won't. I tried quitting but, failed.
