An amazing jazz album by Mindi Abair, though its the first time for me to hear about her, for sure I will check her other albums.
A well composed, arranged music. Not talking about her playing the saxophone only, she played keyboard, sharing her voice as the vocal & background vocal. She got a lovely voice by the way.

I loved the album, all the tracks are great. But, the most that got my attention is "Rain", talking the maximum of music it reached here.

Whenever I listen to this music, it puts me in this special mood of taking a long night drive, or maybe me being in somewhere with big window/glass on a high view.

I couldn't find any video for the tracks of this album. Anyways, three full songs from the album playing at the background of her website, http://www.mindiabair.com/

Samples of the songs from Amazon.com, http://www.amazon.com/Life-Less-Ordinary-Mindi-Abair/dp/B000EHSVEQ/sr=8-1/qid=1171637550/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-5530781-9655268?ie=UTF8&s=music

I listened to the songs on the site and well it's not really my cup of tea. I'm not a fan of instrumentals that are not related to a movie because I can't really connect with them and when it comes to instruments I'm not a fan of the saxophone.

I like her music, but I haven't heard much of it. Just what's in that clip. I like jazz, but it ain't my favourite. Still, the alto saxophone is a very beautiful instrument and so, also the music it is used in.. it's one of those instruments that can easily be played solo without other accompanying instruments.
